I'm gonna give you mu workout...Ive been working with a personal trainer for a few years: Start off on the treadmill incline of 2.0 at a speed of 3.0 do this for about 10 min....then go into a steady jog, incline of 2 speed of 4.0 for about 5 min, then a steady uphill run, at incline 3.5 at a speed of 5, for 5 min, then do an incline of 15.0, or whatever is the highest, at a speed of 3.5 for about 15, this workout always keeps your heart rate up without doing the same thins repeatedly, plus you don't want to run too much it really can hurts your knees..Good Luck

You can run or walk a lot and still not lose weight if your diet is not in order. Don't get me wrong -- exercise is good for maintaining weight and getting/staying in shape, but eating a balanced diet will do more for you than exercise will. I was running for 30 minutes a day at least 5 times a week and still gaining weight because I was eating too much and eating a lot of garbage. Now that I'm eating a healthy diet and watching what and how much I eat the pounds are coming off.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

20 minutes is a good starting point, but you body doesn't really start to burn calories until then, so you will eventually need to be running longer to lose the weight and you will need to watch your diet. Running and not changing what you are eating may help in not gaining, but in order to lose the weight you'll have to change what you're eating.
Add weight training as well, which will boost your metabolism and keep it going longer than running will.

Run/walk is a great way to loose weight, you will start noticing a change in a couple of weeks and you will notice that you are gaining muscle and loosing some weight. Some tips for running longer are to pace yourself, listen to music or something because you don't want to focus on running, drink just a little amount of water before running, and the more you run the longer and longer you will be able to run after a couple of weeks.

It's a very good starting point. I commend you.

Watch your food intake. That's the biggest culprit. Everything in moderation, lots of water (6-8 glasses per day).

Results will vary from person to person. Consistency is the key. Genetics will play a factor as well.

Good luck

Follow the 80/20 rule, which means eating clean 80 percent of times and indulging a little 20 percent of times.
