actually the scientific studies of this are inconclusive but do show a correlation and hold a belief that prayer can be used as a placebo effect to stimulate the body to heal oneself.
it is not "prayer" per-se, but the belief and positive hope that stimulates something in the human body.
obviously not lost limbs.
but there is a "placebo effect" that a person could stimulate thier body into healing itself that works with prayer, vitamin supplements and these holistic and alternative medicine cures.
it isn't the "prayer" itself, but the person engaging in an activity which they honestly believe will help cure them, and they are somehow capable of stimulating thier body to "work harder" to fight the disease.
It could be anything although prayer is the most common as that is generally where people turn when they have no other options.
so if someone believed that peter pan would come out and take them to never-never land if they ate enough cadburry easter eggs and would cure thier cancer, then that would have the same effect.
If they believed that playing with voltron toys or collecting all the pokemons would help cure thier cancer then that would be the same as prayer.

Actually, schools like Duke University and Harvard University have done extensive tests and studies about prayer and they determined it does not make a difference. See article below.

If modern day resurrections don't impress you, neither would a healed amputee.
Edit: That wasn't a copy & paste, although I do feel like a broken record responding to the same tired questions over and over again. I'm going to start drinking to this amputee one.

Yes, I know someone personally that was healed of TB. The tests even come back negative now and they used to be positive.
I know someone else that was healed of cancer of the spine. The X-rays show that it is gone.

Absolutely. In fact, the power of prayer is so strong, religious people should only be allowed to heal with it. That way, evolution can prove which population is more suited to survival...the prayer folks, or the medical ones.

that is why God also gave us doctors. i do have a friend that was healed from luekemia, and she was prayed for . they thought she would die, and she was healed and now they can't find a trace of it in her body. i think the song tears of a clown just might suit you.

Yes he can.
Yes he does
there are many testimonies of this happening.
the problem is, people have to be willing to listen to the testimonies if say, they went to a Benny Hinn meeting and not just freak out and say he is not of God because of their religious opinions.

Yes, it happens every day! Actually, it's God healing them. Prayer and faith is just the method.
