I scattered the ashes of 2 dogs in a park I visit all the time and which holds wonderful memories for me. Find a location that means the same to you- It doesn't have to be where the cat was. I was renting and I didn't want to bury the animal in the backyard or scatter in the yard where I couldn't return when I left. So I chose a place where the dogs will always be, and when I go to that park I can now look forward to the comfort I get knowing the dogs are there. Plus, it's a magnificent and beautiful location, so I think they're happy there.

Your heart will tell you the right place for your cat.

I wish I could say that I had her with me in this form but it was just too much at the time. My sweet Candy is buried at my parents home in PA. I'm in FL. If I did have her with me, I would hold onto her ashes forever. I would always want her near me ---- but this isn't the case. I do however have a shrine for her right next to my bed.

well,if your kitty is soooo dear to you put the ashes where its litter box was or plant a garden and scatter them there.

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty.

I don't have anywhere here to bury pets. But if I did, I think I would like to put the ashes in a flower garden: Most of our family pets liked to play in the flowers.

you could always spread them in your back yard.
or in the ocean or somewhere your cat liked to be... like if there is a plant in your house that your kitty liked to hang out around or something.
or if the cat had a fav. room to be in keep it in a urn and put its ashes in that room

Maybe scatter half of them and keep half. Maybe scatter them somewhere where your cat used to play all the time or where she/he loved to play!

I am leaving mine in the box on my mantle. I thought about scattering them, but she was always very cautious, careful, and neat, so I'm keeping her the way she is now. She was never one for messes and scattering. ;-)
