I'm eating it as a work "snack" and it's all I can do not to gag on it and barf it all back up. It has a nastiness to it that I can't describe. Normally I love Maple & Brown sugar regular oatmeal.

Anyone eating it and losing weight? Or eating it and not losing weight? I don't want to keep making my self nauseous if it's never going to make me skinny!

One of my friends tried that stuff - she too thought it was nasty. ;) I've not tried it, but I eat the regular Maple & Brown Sugar oatmeal 6 days a week for my pre-workout breakfast. (Good Stuff!) I have no problem losing weight, so stick with something you like - you'll be less likely to want to "cheat"if you're satisfied.

I don't think oatmeal will make you skinny. It is good for lowering cholesterol. However, if I wanted to lose weight (and I did), I'd have to find something that didn't make me sick because I'd never stick with it. I lost 90 pounds seven years ago on the Atkins plan. I've had no trouble keeping the weight off.

It really depends more on how much you are eating. If you are trying to loose weight start counting calories and stay under 1600 a day.
