Unlike farm-raised salmon, which i know is fed junk and antibiotics. I ask because I'm reading in a San Diego health guide that says not to eat farm raised salmon but that FR tilapia is OK. Anyone know about this?

The first answer is absolutely incorrect. Tilapia are strictly a freshwater fish. They ones used to seed (new stock for new fish farms) farms in my area, the southeast of the US, come from a farm in Colorado where they are raised in warm, freshwater springs.
We raise ours in well water, usually from around 100 ft. deep.
The water is tested regularly, but regardless of where you live, if there is lead, or mercury saturating the ground, it will seep into the water. Our water is clean, and our fish are not feed antibiotics. We even use the water to hydroponically raise herbs, using only the fish emulsion (fish byproducts) to fertilize the herbs, no chemicals. In the north part of the state, they use the water from the fish to fertilize corn which is processed into fish feed, so it is all kept safe from contamination.
Tilapia is strictly a freshwater fish, world wide. It is the fish Jesus fed the masses with.

Hi,

I've tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don't work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That's why I recommend you check this product at http://www.thin-quick.us where they have a free trial and you only pay $6.95 shipping and handling.
Good luck!

farm raised salmon are raised in fresh water, and they usually end up loaded with mercury. Tillapia are raised in the ocean, and as such have cleaner environment.

Talapia are bottom feeders which means anything the sinks to the bottom including fish crap.

I found that out and now refuse to eat it. But you do what you want.

I'm a vegetarian, so no, it would not be okay. Fish suffer too.
