If you're under 18 and your parents are supporting you financially, respect their wisdom and their role as your guardians. Don't get romantically involved with the guy.

I am in the same position...If your parents are the judgemental type I'd say stay with him!
I have stayed with my bf for over a year now despite my parents being extremely rude to him when he came to visit, and constantly moaning at me
Having said all that, I am almost 20 so I think it is my decision but as all the others have rightly suggested, if you are under 18 you might want to listen to your parents. Just hear them out and then make up your mind
I hope this helped a little

Move on and respect your parents wishes. There are tons of guys in this weorld but you only have 1 set of parents. Trust me, I have 2 teenage daughters. Even though it may seem hard for you to believe, us parents want only whats best for you and we look out for your well being. I know they have their reasons for not approving of this guy you like.

As much as you will hate to heat this, parents usually are pretty good at reading their kids prospective dates. take a moment and think if their reasons are valid.
If it is more because they heard bad things about this young man or do not think you should date, offer to take it slow.
Invite him for dinner at your house. Hang out at the house and invite him on family outings. Show your parents that you are being repsonsible, are getting to know each other and do not always need to be alone. You and your young man can earn their repsect this way.

Why don't they approve of him? If they have a good reason maybe you should reconsider. It's your choice not your parents choice to decide but think carefully and make the right choice sometimes what seems right now isn't right later.

It depends on how old you are & why they don't approve. If the guy is in trouble all the time, gets lousy grades in school & is lazy, I'd say they are right. Otherwise, it may just be a personality thing.

Okay, now that you know your parents dont like him, do you? Ask your parents what about him they dont like? What it all boils down to is you! You are responsible for who you like and dont like cuz you're the person thats going to have to deal those decisions. Now if he's a bum or just terribly..well..terrible then maybe they're just looking out for you. But if they just dont because he doesnt fit what they think is appropriate for you then they're out of luck. You have to live for you. Only you can give yourself happiness. Your decisions are just that...YOURS! Good luck. I hope you wont let your parents feelings override yours!

I think you should consider looking at him and seeing if hes really what you want..What kind of a future do you see with him? Does he look like you would end up getting introuble with him? These may be hard to ask since your "deeply inlike" with him. So sorry if this didnt help. But i think its wise to obey your parents. They might just know what they are talking about.

If they exremely dont approve of him, to the point where its worse then the amount you like the guy, get rid of him. If you really like him, and they only slightly disaprove, give him a chance, they might change their mind.

what is it about this guy that you're parents dont like?
like any normal parent, they love you and want the best for you, if they see something that you cant, its worth finding out exactly what the problem is.

when you are all high-on-love it makes it difficult to see such things, for all you know you could be dating a loser thats just very attractive.
