if your boss has major athlete's foot and everyday that you enter the door to your workplace, you can smell the distinct stench right away.it makes your nose cringe and you can tell that the other co-workers are making disgusted faces, too, but are trying really hard not to make those disgruntled facial expressions whenever the boss is around.they pretend everything is normal, when in reality, the gruesome smell reeks and seems to leave a trail of rotten moldy cheese and something else, around the entire building! do you tell the boss or continue to ignore it? do you think tellling the boss will leave a bad impression on you and might deter your chances of getting that promotion because you offended the boss? despite the possible negative response from the boss, would you still "stick it to the man!?" if so, how exactly would you tell him/her? in what specific words? ;)

re:athlete's foot doesn't smell?! how odd...maybe it's over-active armpit glands?>_<

if not athlete's foot, maybe it's some other kind of foot problem or b.o. that lingers so the exact location is difficult to pinpoint; not sure of the technical name of it but it's really smelly^^

I didn't realize that athelete's foot had an odor. Then again, I'm fortunate in that I've never had it. :) I wouldn't say anything...maybe he's just the type of guy who has truly nasty, stank-@ss feet that nothing will cure. If you like your job and want to keep it, I suggest you keep an air freshener at your desk and a wide berth from your boss...

Athlete's foot doesn't have a noticeable smell. Athlete's foot makes your feet extremely itchy, not smelly. Now, some of the medicines (sprays) used to treat it stink, but not the actual foot.

I wouldn't say anything other than, "What's that horrible smell?" and hope he takes the hint.

I would think that he would know it if he had athlete's foot, it is very irritating and causes a lot of discomfort. If his feet just smell then that is a different matter and perhaps leaving a can of foot order remover on his desk would suffice.

No... Don't say anything. Athletes foot doesn't smell... It itches like hell though. Maybe the medication he's using smells.

I would ask him if he smelled anything, then if he says no, you sniff around until you get on your hands and knees and smell his shoes. Then you say loudly "HERE'S THE CULPRIT"!!! And run out into the office yelling all about it.

Ok, your boss has to have a boss unless he is the owner. Talk to the bosses boss and say you smell a very bad odor which is distracting you from your work. Say you feel really embarassed and please not to tell anyone it was you who came to him. You can also tell him you think its from one of the employees and please not to tell your boss as it may be from him.
