If your pupil is red you must be Satan. Perhaps this is a Halloween-themed joke question?

If you are serious - the pupil is the black part in the center of your eye, the iris is the colored portion (giving people brown eyes, green eyes, etc.), the white part (the part that would actually be prone to becoming red with various ailments and irritants) is called the sclera.

If the sclera (white part) is red and "really sore and painful" then, yes, you should most certainly "get it looked at"!!

Get yourself to a doctor!

If my pupil went red I wouldn't wait a month and then ask about it on yahoo answers I'd be going to the hospital. Go get it checked out right away.

Sometimes a blood vessel in the eye will burst, leaving a red blotch - this is called a Subconjunctival hemorrhage and it's not too serious. However it should go away in about 2 weeks. If it lasts longer, you should probably see a doctor (which is generally a good idea to begin with.)

Your pupil is red???? Get to the eye doctor very soon. If it's just your eye that is red it's probably pink eye or an infection of some kind. Either way, GET TO THE DOCTOR SOON!!

The pupil is the black inner circle on your eye, actually it is a hole in the iris. In no way can it be red, except on a photo, and then you can get rid of it with many photo editing programs. Check your terminology, please.
