Money is pretty good and the demand is growing so jobs are plentiful. Good choice, IMHO.
Oh, BTW, it's a course, usually about 2 years or so.

You can learn to be a sonographer, but it will take more than one class. It's a series of classes. The local community college has a 2 year program. You'll learn an associate's degree in the process. Try searching for "sonography program", "ultrasound technologist program", etc.

There are many small private vocational colleges that offer such training. It the Nashville area there is one called Hi-Tech institute that I believe offers such training.
