Have you repented of walking around in your birthday suit like our common ancestors, for shame your not big enough to flaunt it, bud. Here's a star for effort.

Already part of it. Stopped wearing my tennis shoes and work boots most of the time. Now wear full boot Indian moccasins as shoes as much as possible. 1 fiber... leather. Must say, they are the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Minetonka Moccasins.

Clothing on a whole, been shopping for pure cotton, pure wool or hemp clothing. Haven't bought clothes in years as I have been wanting to do this. Been letting my others wear out. Just wish there were stores around instead of using web to shop. Clothing is hard that way.

Even doing foods. Cutting out meat, normal bread and other things. Even shutting down my business, looking to get land in the hills, have a few horses, garden, etc. Live more off the land. I've easily given my CO2 footprint in my 38 yrs so far. Only fair I stop as I should do unto others as I wish them to do unto me.

Being a techno geek, computer whiz and all around nerd since the commodore vic 20. I thought this would be a hard transformation at first. But must admit, so far I am experiencing a happier life. Playing w/ my horse and riding him almost nightly sure beats sitting in front of this box.

Wearing mixed fibers isn't a sin. If you knew anything about Christianity, you'd know that when Jesus came, He fulfilled the Old Law, which included the laws of the Old Testament. There is nothing against wearing mixed fibers in the New Testament.

At least get your facts straight before you attempt to judge us, so as not to embarrass yourself.

You need to know who the Old Testament is written to. God never wrote any of His inspired Words to Christians until He saved the Apostle Paul and gave him the gospel of the grace of God. The first time you find the word Christian is in Acts 11:26. God never told a Cristian not to wear clothing of mixed fibers but He did tell the Nation of Israel. You need to get your facts straight before you try and find something wrong with Christians. Deuteronomy 22: 11 Thou shalt not wear a garment of divers sorts, as of woolen and linen together. To be a Christian you have to believe and trust in what the Lord Jesus Christ did on the cross. He died for your sins, He was buried and took your sins away and He rose again the third day for your justification. I Cor 15:1-4

Leviticus forbids the use of fabrics made from two different threads.

What about sleeping with women who are menstruating or eating the flesh of an animal with a cloven hoof?

Christians please help my understand which portions of the Bible should be taken strictly literally and which portions are not. How do you know and upon what authority? Where is the instruction manual detailing these rules?

You know you pissed off some prissy christians when they give you a thumbs down. For the life of me, I can't understand why my answer doesn't fit.

To RayW who implies that the Old Testament laws don't apply to christians, does that mean they don't believe in genesis or the ten commandments?

those rules have been meant for the Isrealites in teh time of Moses. while Christ got here to earth he made the thank you to the daddy, Christ became the recent Covenent between us and God. it quite is nto to declare that the old testomony is ineffective yet many of the guidelines adn rituals (sacrifice) became in place for the time of that factor as a guidance for the jews to stay in accordance to God, wheh Christ got here he became the ultamate and final sacrifice so as that shall we get to the daddy! He bridged the hollow! ingesting shellfish and not waring mixed fibers have been rules set in place in the time of the isrealites plausible that those rules have been too there to maintain them secure and sparkling (shellfish are animals that consume the garbage of the sea it quite is possibly a stable theory no longer ot consume them regardless). back nevertheless while Christ got here he made a sparkling covenent and those rules the place wiped sparkling, yet like somebody mentioned it quite is a small trivial difficulty...the premiere factor of the bible and what Jesus did on earth became no longer approximately nutrition and garments yet approximately Christ loss of life for us and making plausible a manner for us to stay with thim ceaselessly. The old testomony is relevent in it is is a preview of the recent testomony the old testomony is a prophicy of the recent testomony and Christ!

all of it is to be taken litterally, not all of it is aplicable to today though because of the new convenant and the death of christ on hte cross. It seems weird you guys pick the little things to bring up, but have you noticed that christians dont sacrafice a lamb now? same reason...it is not longer required. Read Romans, it talks about the difference between the new and old law.

According to Jesus, Peter, and Paul, the kosher laws no longer apply under the New Covenant. Wearing mixed fibers, sowing your field with mixed seed, and eating in mixed company was all part of the "kosher" system, which applied to Jews only.

Silly rabbit, we are not Jewish.
