I'm 20 yrs old and first time buying a car. I dont want to get stuck with a big debt so I'm buying a used car not sure which one is best for me. If i get the honda, my uncle is just going to handed to me no money out if my pocket and the payments are 360 a month he owes like $ 16,000.00 if or the Nissan which is my dream car but not sure because of my age its probably not the best but i mean i love this car. What do you think

In response to your question, I can defently afford that kind of payment. Thank god for giving me a job that pays pretty well for my age :) I'm just more concern of the long term problem of one day when i would try to get rid of either car, i dont want to be upside down.

Go to Edmunds.com and educate yourself with regards to the values of these two cars. Don't assume your uncle is giving you a good deal - you don't say what model the Accord is, how many miles, etc - so 16K might be a good deal, or maybe not.

The Accord is a much more practical choice, probably more reliable, newer, better on gas, and will probably last longer. The 350Z has very little luggage space, is this your only car? Barely enough room to go away for a weekend with your girlfriend. All that said, a 350z is definitely more fun. If you are seriously considering the Z call an insurance agent or company and find out how much it will cost for you to insure these two cars. I'm guessing the Z will be nearly double for a young driver, so that is something to consider. Also consider that if you live in the snow belt, an Accord is a better four season car.

Of the two I would have to go with the Honda. First, it is just a newer and better car. It will be more reliable and still be fun to drive. However, at 360 a month, I don't think it's a value at all. can you afford that at 20?
