I think you mean Antipasto. Which means "before the meal " in Italian. It is mostly Italian meats, cheeses and marinated veggies. If you don't eat alot of it before you eat pasta, I think you'll be OK

Usually the anti- pasta is a first course.
Before the pasta.
That and pasta would sure be more than enough for me.

Antipasto it seems is a salad product? kinda?
Pesto you add to dishes? like dressing...
Pasta? real main dish?(spagetti)
