I know it's hard to get converts for the Pope's religion. but a good start would be to get rid of the pedophiles first and then maybe worry about abortions after he's done cleaning his own house. Check this news item. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071029/ts_nm/pope_drugs_dc

You are right, it seems that the pope is using a diversion to get people to think about something else rather than his pedophile priests.

No.

If only perfect people were to be allowed to teach about morality and virtue then no one would ever teach or learn anything.

In every population of human beings are going to a few sick or evil people who commit horrible crimes, even in the Church.

These few terrible people do not negate the faith, hope and love of over one billion Catholics.

Remember that the Church is not the Church hierarchy or the priests. The Church is God and His relationship with over one billion living Catholics on Earth and God only knows how many in heaven, all of whom make up the Body of Christ.

Scandals in nations, even up to and including the highest leaders, like President Nixon and the Watergate scandal, do not make the nation as a whole wrong, immoral, or worthless. The same reasoning goes for the Catholic Church and she is so much holier and more important than any nation.

With love in Christ.
