No I do not believe in a god, higher power or anything like that, what the world needs to worship is the enviroment we live in and stop destroying the things that keep us alive which is water, air and light! To the last poster that said he has proof of god, please tell us and show us the proof other than reading from a book called the bible, the bible is just a book no different than harry potter!

God was not just a myth, nor was Jesus simply a good preacher. This is simply your opinion.
Many, many wonderful things were first started by Christians or other religions. Foster family agencies, hospitals, charities, etc for example. Religion can be good... Christianity is good. The problem is not with the religion, it is the people who allow themselves to take things out of context within it, if that makes sense. Yes, many people use religion for war, and you are right, that shouldn't be so.
I don't turn to religion - because even God "created" religion. I simply turn to God. Just like a watch has to have something to wind it, create it, and put it in motion, so it had to be with the Earth as well.
I am quite sure your mind is already made up, but I hope you understand that many religious people are wonderful. They are sweet, kind, and law-abiding. Please don't let hypocrites taint how you view Christians, or any other religious people for that matter.

Why does it have to be one or the other? Sicence is so busy finding out "how?", yet they still can't answer "why?". For example, any physicist can tell you how soalr energy creates runoff which hits electric turbines which generates the electricity that turns on the light in your darkened livingroom at night - thus creating artificial "sunshine". Yet, which one of them can tell you why it works and where the inspiration came from? This is the realm of divinity. Inspiration and the magic. How anyone can feel that this all is some form of immense coincidence is beyond me. Yet, how anyone can attribute everything to a an omniscient being also eludes me. Only with a balance, a combination of both elements does everything work.

The problem with people not believing in a religion is that mass chaos would ensue. If everyone thought that there would be no consequences from a higher power they would rape, steal and murder without a second thought. While I myself don't believe in a higher power I am glad the masses do. The average joe isn't all that bright. Let him continue believing there are magical sky fairies watching over him.

There is a lot more evidence for the existence of God than for atheism and evolution.The evidence is so overwhelming that it takes a very ignorant person to deny His existence.

That's what the Bible says, doesn't it?
God = idea
Jesus = motivational speaker

You reap what you sow.
As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.

I 100% agree. But if you try to enlighten someone they will either tell you to 'go to hell', or that you are 'going to hell'.
