research has shown that any habit can be formed or unformed in 8 days. After a while it just becomes a normal thing same as bad habits. but if you are trying to quit smoking or something like that look at how long it takes your body to get the chemicals out of your system

It has been said that if one does something 23 (or is it 26?) times, it becomes habit, and so it is my guess that the same is true for breaking a bad habit. But, this is just my theory and I could be wrong.

The amount of time it takes to break a habit is not the important factor here, what is important is that you commit to do, or not do whatever it is that you want to accomplish... and it will become normality. It could be 3 days, it could be 3 weeks, or even 3 months, but if there is no consistency in your actions... it will never be....
Good luck to you!

Depends on what your bad habit is and how long you have been doing it.
Depends on how ambitious you are if you are ready to give some thing up.
Some can take from 1-2 days to never
