as the people in my Q&A will know I have recently got to level 5, in response to this I posted a thanx;

" I have just made it to level 5 (((((((yeah)))))) thanx to all on R&S"

this was the entire question; how is this a violation?

why would somebody do that? everyone that knows me on here knows I don't believe in reporting, so why report me, and for this post?

I cannot believe it

As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.

Insha'Allah, I am sorry that this happen to you and over what seems to be so innocent as your celebrating your success here on Y & A.

I would guess that someone was more than a bit jealous over your having reached level 5. Such may well happen when one attempts to pose questions that might make others have to reflect upon their own choices, beliefs and /or the lack thereof.

Isaha'Allah, please keep asking and keep the dialoge going!

Also congratualtions on your success.

Ma'a salaam.

technically it violates the question and answer format in which this site is based on and is a violation of the TOS.
You are not supposed to ask a question to make a statement.
Someone may have reported it, also, I think that the yahoo people monitor some things and might have seen it and taken it down.

I see nothing wrong with it- however it was not really a question. Someone probably saw it as chatting or something. I would not report that type of question- but the Yahoo Spybot Nazi's love to.

When asking that type of question- you have to figure out how to make it into a real question so as not to violate any rules- just get creative.

It wasn't a question.

It does seem kind of silly to report it. Who knows? Maybe someone has a grudge against you. Maybe someone from answers just stumbled across it. Maybe there are some people on here who get a kick out of reporting minor violations. In any case it wasn't the end of the world. Congratulations on making it to level 5.

It's a violation because it's not even a question.

it's true that many "questions" make it through without violation, but if you're going to post "questions" that are not questions you should not be surprised if you get hit with a violation. It's just the way Y!A works.

Congrats on lvl 5, btw.

Some person on level one got jealous of you and because you didn't ask a Q they reported you. Remember next time to always include a Q. It's a pain isn't it ?

You were probably reported because you didn't ask a question. Or because even though you were saying this to R&S, it did not have anything to do with religion or spirituality. Next time ask a question, like "Did you know I have just made it to level 5?" Then in the details give your thanks. And also think of some way to tie it in with your religion and/or spirituality.

By the way, congrats.

It sounds to me like somebody got jealous and decided to take a swipe at you--so what if it wasn't a question--I really don't think anyone should have been that offended . It must be someone pretty pathetic to waste their time reporting you.

p.s. once again congratz on the new level.

There are idiots around who like to make other people problems.

And the other people are the people who don't accept a straight answer. They want to be confirmed. If you tell them the hard truth then you get from them violated.

I got a violation because I said to something the truth. I think the system von Yahoo is not correct. The should accept a violation only if 3 people click on it.

I did the same thing when I got to 666 answers only I tried to phrase it as a question so I wouldn't get violated. Guess what? Still got violated. You didn't even ask a question. There are some lame idiots here who just can't let this kind of stuff slide, so they violate everyone at the drop of a hat. Tough luck man.
