I wonder if some alien craft landed on earth if any of the religious folks would try to convert them. Can you imagine the conversation? Believer: "Have you heard the good news of Jesus Christ? You must be born again!"
Alien: Been there, done that, got over it. That's why we're trotting around the galaxy now. Science works. Zort! They're not ready! Let's grab some livestock and take off!"

Not at all for two reasons.
1) It would prove that we are not the only ones in this mass universe.
2) god and creation are a myth.
Also would like to add this. How would religious people react if ETI said that they have volumes of proof of the big bang and our evolution process.

Would a UTI change anything to your daily routine?

In an infinite universe, it's statistically crazy to say that there aren't other intelligent lifeforms out there somewhere.

Not really.
He did create the Universe, after all.

They would be his children as well also created in his image- so the less they looked like me/us the further the definition of "his image" would have to stretch to include them.
