65 grams of saturated fat, 80 grams of total fat. Less than that is best, but you need to have some fat. Those are the guidelines for someone who has 2000 calories per day and is not trying to lose weight. No more than 30% of total fat
intake should be in one food. You need 1600-2000 calories. Atleast 60% should be carbs. Most carbs should be from starches. The more filling foods are the best. You might also need 64 ounces of water or more.

If you want to loose weight, you should be reducing your calorie intake. First, cut all the "empty calories", the calories that do not give you anything good. So no more junk, take out food, coke (100 calories a glass). Drink water, eat whole wheat flour, try watery veggies (little calories in cucumber, mushrooms, green beans) and try to eat 1500 calories a day maximum. (2000 is when you want to keep the same weight. Plus I don't think that a pers whose 5'4" is supposed to eat 2000 calories a day anyways). For a pers whos not on a diet, the regular intake for sat fat per day is 20 grams. ou'll have to reuce that to.

Counting any of these is not necessary if you eat the right kind of food....eat organic food. It is the chemical additives that cause our digestive systems to function abnomally and weight gain is a big problem because of it. In reality, your body takes the nutrients needed from the food and then expels the rest through normal body functions. The body cannot properly digest artificial ingredients. Stay away from hydrogenated oils as well and eat plenty of fresh organic produce...this will provide needed digestive enzymes that are not in convential produce

Limit your total fat intake to no more than 25% to 35% of your total daily calories. Total fat is a combination of saturated, monounsaturated, and polyunsaturated fat.
Limit your saturated fat intake to less than 7% of your total daily calories.
