I mean why don't you ask or answer questions on something you do believe in unless you sort of know, but don't want to admit if fully yet, Pushing God away, is not a good idea, it is your soul you are pushing in the wrong direction, there are two roads, a narrow road that leads to God, and a broad road that will take you straight to the other place. You got a free gift from Jesus out of mercy and love, and yet you turn it down for a devil that just wants you to burn with him.

You know what gets me is all those that put down my question and low rated all the good answers, what are you afraid of, I guaranteed if I was with that attitude I would definitely be afraid of something, and by doing this it just shows all the more, you think you know but you are not sure, I will go with the father, you turned Him and His gift of Jesus Christ down, do you know where you will go, The Bible tells you, God tells you, you can't tell God I never knew. It will because you never gave God the time, and with what Jesus gave you, now that is sad.

Because they fear what they do not understand. It is incomprehnsible for them to see why an individual will have faith in something intangible, unseen and un-provable. So the best way to deal with the unknown is to attack it. welcome to the human beast. Instead of tolerance, the non-believer will destroy that which challenges his insight. And that is just why they attack religion. The reason they attack you is because it insults and infuriates the atheist that you would still rather believe a book instead of them. I see the atheists on this thread much more insulting, intolerant, and un-empathetic than any of the pro-religion answerers.

First of all, one does not need to believe in God to have a religion or to post on a "religious Sight" [sic]. Secondly there is absolutely no assurance that the God that you believe in is truly God at all, nor is there any assurance (for most people) that God even exists.
To you it seems that it's Jesus or nothing, all other religions and spiritual philosophies are wrong. But say you're wrong, then what? What if you're going to burn because it turns out that Jesus was a false messiah/prophet and you've been worshiping a blasphemy?
Your religion is not the ONLY religion, nor is it guaranteed to be the RIGHT one. Think about it. 1000 different religions, 1000 different denominations, almost all of them claiming to be the "true path", are you sure that you're in the right one??
If there's anything the "devil" is adept at it's causing hate and disunion. So if your "religious" beliefs incline you toward hate, disunion and all subdivisions such, I would say that the devil's got a hold on you.

So then why do religious people always want prayer back in public schools, when the majority of people who go do not want your God, your religion, or your prayer. When Christians (for example) can learn to keep your nose out of my life and my society, then and only then will I leave you alone. Until then, you need to be called out on all evils that you and your religion do for the world and all around you. You need to have your religion exposed for what it truly is.
Oh, and by the way there is something called freedom of speech and so I have a right to be here, but typical religious follower, only wanting freedom of speech when it benefits you and nobody else. And also, please prove to me that Jesus existed, since there are no records that he did at all. There is no proof except in your book, so does that mean Harry Potter exists since he is mentioned in a book as well? I will take the devil over your God any day. Look through the Bible and see how many people God has murdered (largest mass murderer throughout history according to your Bible) versus how many your Devil has murdered.

I believe that in your frustration of reading some comments that r either silly or just plain ignorant, u allowed yourself 2 become a bit judgemental. As they say in AA "it's attraction rather than promotion". We can change the world only by changin ourselves. I believe they're r many paths 2 lead us all where we r supossed (did i spell that right?) 2 go. We all have different identities & God gave us all the right 2 free will. Something gets lost from what we try to convey we believe in when we look down on people,4 whatever reason! Doesnt it say somewhere that the sun shines on the just & the unjust? Peace and blessings be with u & just try 2 keep doin what u need 2 do. Sometimes bein a example can be the best sermon.

First of all, LynnC The Bible contains the very mind of GOD, the state of man,the way of salvation, and the happiness of those who believe! Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true and its decisions are immutable. You should
read it to become wise believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. why? Because the bible contains light to direct you, it is food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. You see Lynn it is indeed the traveler's map the pilot's compass, the soldier's sword
and the christian's charter. Lynn...here Paradise is in fact restored, Heaven opened and the very GATES OF HELL disclosed. Jesus Christ is its grand subject, our good the design, and the glory of GOD its END. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet . Read it slowly, frequently, and prayerfully. It truly is a mine of of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given to you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. it involves the highest responsibility, will reward the greatest labor, and will CONDEMN all who trifle with its sacred contents LynnC so Now Are you ready to stand before your GOD with the feelings that you may possess and tell HIM to HIS face how you feel about HIM???? He would lke to know!

The problem is that you said if admitting you are no longer a Christian sends you to hell then so be it because you don't want to spend eternity with these kind of people. You will be. They are going to hell too if they don't get their lives in order.

It is illogical to ask a question about something that you are saying is not true. If you don't believe in the rapture, why discuss it? Is this just a chance to rant a little about Christians? Why waste your time and ours on insincere pseudo-questions?
If you have a real question, bring it on. If not then why bring it up? Find some questions about a non-spiritual subject where there can be real discussion instead of attempts to bait people who believe in the rapture.

Whenever I see this question, I want to insult the one asking it, simply because it is asked several times a day, its is utterly ridiculous and you will not take the time to look at the thousands of times it has been realistically answered. I don't come here strictly to put people down, but I will say you are asking for it.

Why do people like you always assume that it's either atheism or Christianity? Are you aware of the fact that there are many other religions who all claim to have the truth? How can you be so insular?

Your question implies that your way is the only way, yet being moslem, or hindu, or buddahist--all of these qualify as religions. Yahoo can not take the position that one is better than the other--otherwise this would simply be a christian religious site according to your views. If varying opinions on the true nature of God and religion are allowable, then the converse--that there is no God at all should be equally as welcome.

We come here, not to push god away... but because we are tired of being pushed around by the believers in this world (specifically the Christians in America), forced to follow your beliefs (due to laws being passed BASED on your beliefs) and constantly being confronted by rude people telling us we'll burn if we don't believe what they do.
If we don't believe in god, we don't believe in "the other place" either, my friend.
