Kids go through stages where they eat what seems like nothing. Your job is to offer healthy foods, her job is to decide when and how much she eats. Kids are born with an innate sense of when they are hungry and full, they still listen to their bodies. Don't worry about what she does or doesn't eat. If you look at what she's eating over an entire week (vs. day to day) you'll see that she's hitting everything she should.

What my toddler eats for breakfast:
Cocoa (milk with a little powder)
Apples, bananas, orange segments
Toast or dry cereal
Yogurt, mueslix
oatmeal with fruit
fruit smoothies

My 2 year old daughter goes through breakfast phases. One week she'll tell me everyday she wants to have oatmeal, then the next she'll want dry cereal and then eggs and so on. She doesn't aways want breakfast either. Which in that case I have something very quick like cereal ready if and when she decides she's hungry. I always try to give her options in the morning like do you want eggs or oatmeal today. Now she really does choose the same things a few days in a row, but she always has the option of something else. I would try yogurt for sure, and my daughter loves french toast sticks. But after a while I'd be tired of the same thing. My daughter being 2 may want the same thing, everyone is different including you girl. So, give options and anything they can dip is a good choice. The more mess the better in her eyes.

Children change food habits and you have to have an array of interesting but nutritious food around for her to chose from.
Even adults get fed up of same food.

Hint; Make her feel the food is for you. You keep her with you when she is hungry and eat ,say fruit cut to sizes she can have. Like a banana is so nutritious. Cut them in tiny pieces and have them.

Just rub some butter on a boiled egg. Cut up the boiled egg. Add a pinch of salt to the whole. Maybe salt is a taste she is looking for. Keep it in front. Pretend to eat it.

Some cereals, maybe. Or a porridge.
Just any food.
Later give milk.

And yogurt is just great. Let her have chicken pieces if that is what she likes. Soon she will get bored and tired.
Relax and enjoy eating together.

Have you tried the Gerber Graduates cereal bars? Your child is old enough to start trying mainstream foods... cereal bars, pop tarts, dry cereal, oatmeal, cereal with milk, fresh fruit, yogurt... the list is endless. Try everything and then stick with what she eats. She may just be bored to death with a scrambled egg! She might go back to eggs after a few months. Babies need the variety we want also! Best of luck!!

My daughter (27 months) has become more picky lately and what usually helps her is making her food more fun.

So...she may not eat a regular container of yogurt. But if I take a small glass and layer the yogurt with crumbled graham crackers and fruit, then top it with pink sprinkles, she is in love with her "Pink Sprinkle Sundae!!"

Same thing with making mickey mouse pancakes (blueberries for eyes, nose & mouth) rather than regular pancakes.

Etc. I have found some good ideas on the Kraft website.

Good luck!

get the yogurt with fruit on the bottom. is she eating right before she goes to sleep she may not be hungry yet. Is she eating a good lunch?Toddlers go through phases of eating different things at different times of the day. As long as you don't see weight changes and she is functioning normally it shouldn't be a problem. If you have any concerns or questions about adequate nutrition talk to the pediatrician.

These are some of the things my son (13-mths) eats for breakfast:

shredded mini-wheats (I soak them in milk first)
pancakes - I usually add sweet potatoes or bananas or applesauce
oatmeal - I buy the plain kind then add things to it - applesauce and/or blueberries, banana and syrup, etc
waffles - sometimes I'll saute an apple and add syrup, sometimes I'll put pb and syrup
yogurt - I buy plain and add fruit and maybe a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar

Also, try giving her breakfast a little later. Maybe she's not hungry first thing in the morning. Try waiting 30 min. or so, give her water in the meantime if she's thirsty.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://bitly.im/aMHuq

The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

It is possible that your child got tired of having the same thing for breakfast everyday. Try putting a small bowl of cereal/oatmeal/malt-o-meal, dry toast, or even some of last nights dinner, in front of her and some softened fruit (apples, peeled and sliced grapes, etc) she will be able to choose what she eats andd gets a variety as well.

Try giving her a little handful of dry cheerios or other cereals that can be easily picked up. Most kids gobble them up, thinking that they are some kind of treat or snack item. I would be willing to try one with a little sugar in it if she won't eat anything else, like cinnamon-toast crunch, Life, whatever she'll try. You could get a pack of those little boxes and let her try different cereals. Don't stand there and demand that she eat, but just set them down in front of her and appear uninterested. At this age they frequently start trying to control their environment, in addition to not eating as much some days.
