If he asks to meet up that does not mean he would want a relationship with your fictitious Internet "chick". Although it probably does. If this happens then it most likely means he is prepared to cheat on you and might imply that he is doing so already.

However you would need to be absolutely certain that he hasn't sussed you out with your Internet thing and is merely playing you at your own game by flirting with her because he knows it's really you.

If he asks the fictitious girl out, then you could reply that she is already dating someone. You never know he might just drop himself right in it by saying something like "so am I but who cares let's meet up anyway".

I reckon either way that after 8 months you should be able to just ask him outright if he is seeing someone else, and you should be able to tell from his response if he is telling the truth.

If you have any doubts then you should drop him.

I think you already know enough right now to dump him (granted I don't know how trustworthy these friends who tell who he's cheating are, but it's unlikely that a group of ppl would make up something about him for no reason) Aside from the warnings from your friends, he should not even be looking at profiles of girls on MySpace in the first place. Having female friends is one thing, but going to seek out new female friends online is just slimy. Dump him now before you sink to his level of disrespectful behavior.

sorry to say but it seems like he is cheating. What you are doing is not totally right but at least it's gonna tell you what he is capable of. And considering your past relationship you kind of have the right. If he ask you to meet up, you go and tell him off. And ask him what he was there for and if he lies to you then that's just unacceptable.

I would simply just confront him about this issue instead of running behind his back on MySpace, I mean it could be useful if you do ask and he looks guility of tries to change the subject, you could put on a wig, and meet him and confront him like that to really give him a surprise. Either way, you have a right to know what's going on in your relationship.

Nobody wants to believe their boyfriend is cheating but if more than one person is telling you he is then the odds are he is. Do they say they have seen him with another girl?? Is he spending less time with you and making excuses that he is busy? If so, those are all indications he is not being truthful with you.

pay a hooker to meet him up and spy on them, if he makes a move, slap him, curse him, dump him and pay the hooker.

and he is wrong for flirting with the fake "you" and when people are telling you he's a cheater, it's either they are jealous or just looking out for you.

see how far he'll go with the chatting. is he willing to get sexual? if so, then ask him to meet you....then, get there first and as soon as he walks in the door make sure he sees you.
he'll be so busted and you'll know that it's over and he sucks.
