I mean, I realize that people *occasionally* post things about Muslims or Jews or what have you. But we have several posters who (I can think of three off the top of my head) who do nothing but post questions about how bad/wrong/silly Christianity is.
I know this question will probably get a lot of people drunk, but in all seriousness, what do you think that says? I'm not saying Christians are the most *picked* on, necessarily, but Christianity clearly invites the most trolls and abusive questions. I'd prefer to not get answers to this that say it's because all Christians are jerks --- because there are jerks in any large group of people, and not all Chrisitans *are* jerks.

Karen: Because it's a 'drinking' question to some. I'm sure it's been asked before.
Also, I didn't say that *everyone* does this. Now *you*are being presumptuous. I said that there are several users who *only* post questions mocking Christianity. I won't name names but I'm not making it up. Just keep your eyes open, there is one on right now, posting like every five questions!

The attention is because Christianity is the religion with which they most often are faced, but I think the more important question is why the same standards are not applied to all religions. Most atheists I know would respect the beliefs of Native Americans (despite some of those beliefs being somewhat more barbaric than Christianity) while assailing Christians for the exact same practices. The questioning doesn't bother me, but when I see intellectual dishonesty in order to score a cheap insult or maintain a veil of ignorance or something I can't help but wonder what drives that....

I think it's only because it's mostly an american forums and the religion the most represented in the US is still Christianity. It would be more off if the posts were directed to a religion which most users don't even know about.

I can't speak for the rest of the world but here in the USA Christianity poses the greatest threat to the freedom of non-Christians through their constant attempts to legislate their social and moral agenda. You see more questions lashing out at Christianity because of this.
Also, I would not call that attempts to discredit Islam "occasional". I see people, mostly Christians (or at least self-identified Christians) attacking Islam in here every day. I also see the same people constantly attacking pagans, agnostics and atheists.

There are a few muslims on this board who post some Islam-is-better-than-anyone-else and/or proselytizing items, and a whole bunch of Christians, and maybe one or two Jews who do that. (I am not including generic boosterism).
The proportion of critical questions or discrediting attempts pretty much matches the percentage of proselytizing and/or self-promoting posts made by each religion.
It also pretty much matches the relative proportion of Christians in the U.S. -- especially if you are only counting very publicly proselytizing religionists of each group.

I think most people on Y!A are Americans, and, in my opinion, the problem with Christianity in the U.S. is that they wish to educate our children with pseudoscience so that they can justify their religious beliefs. It's a real problem here and it has caused many of us to go from simply shaking our heads at creationists to getting really worried that our educational system is going down the tubes.
The truth is, while I don't believe that Christianity has any claim to Truth, most people and friends of mine are Christian in some way, shape, or form. I just have a huge problem with religion being injected into science--until someone can prove the existence of God, we need to keep religion out of science.
And anyhow, Christians give as good as they get, here, if you ask me.

Because Christians are the most visible and are in the majority. Most people know little to nothing about Islam and the Jewish version of Judaism. When there are questions about Islam, it's about the extremists because that's all people know about Islam. When there are questions about Judaism, it's about "an eye for an eye" because that's all people know about Judaism.

Jesus said:
John 15:18 "When the world hates you, remember it hated me before it hated you. 19 The world would love you if you belonged to it, but you don't. I chose you to come out of the world, and so it hates you. 20 Do you remember what I told you? 'A servant is not greater than the master.' Since they persecuted me, naturally they will persecute you. And if they had listened to me, they would listen to you! 21 The people of the world will hate you because you belong to me, for they don't know God who sent me. (NLT Jn 15.18-21)
However, some Christians do bring it on themselves by being hateful...

You are making many assumptive statements.
*always about Christianity*
*I know this question will probably get a lot of people drunk*
*who do nothing but post questions about how bad/wrong/silly Christianity is*
Those statements are really offensive to many people.
Not every person who asks a question is referring negatively to christianity. Not all people who choose not to believe christian teachings, or who answer questions about such in ways that do not affirm christianity drink.
And I can only surmise that those who use Yahoo answers about their disagreement with christianity have other things to do than 'do nothing but post questions about how bad/wrong/silly christianity is'.

Its the dominant religion on YA and it will stay that way. I don't see a majority of any other religion on here and the atheists have to fight someone.
This furthere proves that religion is geographic and in the mind of man. If you are born in a particular area, you be of that religious affiliation almost guarenteed.
