Actually, yes. Making yourself very very clear was in order, but being that offensive, to anyone for any reason, does not exactly shout "this gal is a real brain!".
The guy has obviously misunderstood his mission or, perhaps he has a problem with his mental abilities and felt he was doing good for others. You just ripped out his heart and maybe the only thing he felt he could accomplish. His self worth.
You had every reason to be annoyed, but I hope that you can find a better way to cope next time. After all, he wasn't asking you to do something physical with him. Your response fits well with someone harassing you sexually.

I would have called the cops and told them I was being harrassed by a guy every day. I would have done that in front of him as well.
Telling someone to stop harrassing you is your right.
People's freedom of religion only extends as far as their own choice to believe what they choose to believe. It does NOT include harrassing someone in an attempt to get them to believe what they believe.
I don't know if you were too harsh. The guy sounds like he is a hypocrite waving a bible and smelling like booze.
It is not a christian thing to do to harrass someone like that. It goes against christian principles.

no you did the right thing. people like him need to be taught a lesson of trying to shove thier stuped religion on other people. just last month i was waiting in boots to pick up some pain killers and a women came over to me trying to sell those stupied bibles while saying that believeing in god will cure me while having pills will send me to hell. i just told her to go away and tell someone who cares in a harsh way and she never bothered me again! result!

"Roast a turkey..."

Funny though, never heard that one before.

No, you were showing your true colors. He should back off and just pray for you.

No not at all, tell him next time you'll call the cops on your cell so he can preach at them.
