Salvation is a Gift of God. Good works is the outward evidence of an inward change. You see we can say we beleive something, but our actions prove what we really believe. That is why in the Book Of James God inspired James to write faith without works is dead, and that kind of faith will not save you.
Now those good works are not just feeding homeless people, it is quiting telling lies, looking with lust, committng adultery, hating people, using God's name in vain. It also beginning to love others even when they are unloveable and do not deserve it. Forgiving others when they are unforgivable and do not deserve it. Just to name a few.
It aslo is beginning to love God which is evidenced by a desire to read the sriptures, listen to His Word preached, and spending time with God in prayer.

we are saved by grace through faith. works come with salvation they dont save you , but if you have faith you have works. a sim]nner never goes to church hes not bond again he doesevery thing the word says not to do. a christian is just a lot differant he has love for god, and for other people, he prays goes to church ,helps people, tells people about jesus.strives against sin. these are good works. i know people who are good people, but thier goodness cant save them. we have to accepy\t the only sacrifice for sin and that is the cleansing blood of jesus if we try to ignore jesus and try to be saved by good works then the lord says show me the works of your most righteouss man and they are filthy rags benieth my feet. we were born with sinful natures and the only thing that can change that nature is jesus christ.hope this helped.love pastor carney

we are saved by grace alone..His grace is suffecient..we are not bound by the law anymore..cause if we are judged by works it means that we are also saved by works cause that would be the basis for our judgement, and that is not what the bible tells.read galatians

I do not know the verce, but the works we are judged on is listed in the bible as what we do for the least. Do you know where it says "I was hungry and you gave me to eat?" I was naked and you clothed me? I was in prison and you came to me? Those are the works set up by Jesus for us to do, it says as much in that very chapter. Jesus says what ever you did for the least you did it to me, and what ever you did NOT do for the least you didnt do it to me, and it goes on to say that then they will ask, Lord when did we see you naked and hungry? and he will answer whomever you did it for you did it to me, and if you did not do it you will be cast out of his sight into hell. I hope this is enough for you to beable to find it in the scripture. also go to fish eaters it lists these as corporal works of mercy. Also there are spiritual works of mercy, these also we must do when we have opportunity for them.

The work we do in life. What it is on the outside that makes us good on the inside, helping the homeless, children, etc. God bless.

Only grace saves, and works don't and cannot. The works are not to prove anything to God. The works show people what we are.

...you're are mis-quoting the Scripture... read Ephesians, chapter 2 vs. 8 & 9. (you are saved by Grace thru Faith, not of works so no-one can boast)... "Faith" without works is dead... not Salvation...

We are not judged by works but according to our own sin.
Works will not get you saved lest any man should boast.

Works are a manifestation of one's faith, just like love without manifestation is no love.
