You may what to think about what really touches your heart. That is what you would be good at doing. For me it would be working at a Hospital. I always wanted to be a Nurse. And help people that way. What make you happy when you are doing it. (Being with Children) Volunteer at a school or after school program. Older people -Visit Senior Centres.
Its different for everyone.

Depends on what you want to do and what your qualifications are, I am a retired nurse, but, got rather burned out on it after thirty years so went looking at other things, I now tutor for adult literacy program called Project Read, they will train you to help others, the individual I am working with now has dsylexia so it will be a real challenge and learning experience to help her,and for me, that is good,as I want to also be in something I will learn with and that will be interesting, something new for me, hopefully I am deserving, what you want to do is wonderful and there are lots of oppertunities, but it is an individual preference. Good luck.
