I think you will always have to deal with a certain amount of bullsh@t at any job you go to. I am in the same situation at my job too, so maybe i can help us both. One thing i learned a long time ago is that misery loves company-so if all these other people are giving you a really hard time, they just want you to be as miserable as them-But if you truly feel you can get a better job somewhere else with ease I would probably do that-But then its like you let them win, they got the best of you-as long as you are ok with that then-go ahead and do it-One of the most important things is life is happiness-its priceless...Try to find that special job that does it for you. If you can be happy at work, you will have the true American Dream!!!

Jobs, are meant be like this. I have never heard of any new hire( particularly young) has been welcomed and treated well in a company. If you like the job, profile, if this is the kind of stuff you want to do, then stick it out. I mean just hang on to iy. Try to find new ways to interest your bosses. See what they would like to talk about, touch on those topics, wish them everyday with a bright smile. These are things which you are supposed to learn as part of your job. Nobody else can teach you all these things. Things wont be better with any other job.
A few more months and I bet you will get used to it.,
Just hang in there.

Find another job. What you're describing is harassment and abuse. No one should have to deal with that in the workplace. Just don't quit your current job until you're sure you've got another one lined up and don't allow prospective employers to contact your current employer. They might fire you out of spite if they suspect you're looking for a new job. When you give your boss your letter of resignation, be very specific in explaining why you're leaving so maybe the same thing won't happen to your replacement.

Don't say anything to anyone at your present place of employment, while putting out applications to other jobs. I have been through this many times in my life. Unfortunately, even if the job itself is ideal, the people that you work with can make it a hell on earth that is not worth even the "big bucks". All the best on your next position, may you work with as few difficult people as possible!

Bullying in the work place is against the law. U really must speak up if you feel they are being unkind to you. If you have a health and safety or human resources mananger you can talk to i seriously would.
Don't leave your job because of them, go through the proper channels and have them for harassment

I would start looking for a new job. The enviroment can give you unlimited stress.
The other factors your mentioned come with all jobs. When you work with other people in offices there is drama and office politics. Best to stay out of politics. Come to work, fly under the radar, get your work done and leave.

I would quit. It isn't your responsibility to protect your boss. He'll carry on. Get another job. That is a ridiculous situation. You'll do well.

Stand up for yourself. If you feel you are getting harassed ,tell them to their face. They will respect you for standing up for yourself.
As soon as you grow a backbone you will be fine. Those guys are just testing you to see how far they can push you.
Barney's advice is bad,the first guy who answered you. Don't listen to him. If you run away every time you are challenged you will be running the rest of your life.

Look for another job.
You can keep this one while you do that.
And knowing that you are looking will free you from a lot of stress.
It really sounds like a bad place to work.
Go on with your life.

It sounds like your young...and most bottom feeders in the food chain have to earn the respect of their coworkers..you haven't done it yet. And you won't if you let them get to you.
