I am thinking of buying a ps3,is it any any good?

This question is asked a million times a day on here. Which ones is better of the 3? This all depends on what you are looking for.
Wii is more of group play. The whole thing is how you play the game. No cutting edge graphics, just party games that you stand up and play. If this is what you like then go wii.

Xbox 360- The main thing here is really game selection. There are more games to choose from, so mostly likely you well find at least some games you like. The next is Xbox live. yes you do pay for it, but only .14 cents a day (If you pay for a year). Thats worth it if you ask anybody.

PS3- The potential is there for better games (in theory), but it would take developers longer to use all that power. There are more and more games coming out for the PS3 and more to come in 2008, but right now the selection is still pretty slim. The main thing PS3 has going for it is Blu-ray.

Its really a matter of what you are looking for. I don't see that big of reason to buy a PS3 yet. Most likely the price well keep dropping (or different versions well come out, I mean they still need to release a 30gb and 50gb version right?)
There aren't that many great games, but that is improving, supposedly Spring (in the USA) there should be a lot more games out (and rumble controller well be out as an extra). I would think waiting until Summer 08 would probably start to be the right time to buy. I would think they would drop the price again, and you would get a great system.

If you want party games go with Wii
if you want game selection go with Xbox 360.

I have one and it is great. I recommend it, but you should also have a HD TV to experience the quality of the graphics.
Motor storm and Resistance are great games and really show off the PS3.
You will probally get a lot of answers saying Xbox 360 is way better, but it is not true. The PS3 has much more advanced hardware and is only showing a hint of what it can really do. Next year there are several games coming out to start to show the PS3's potential.
Xbox 360 on the other hand is reaching it's limit. GTA 4 for example has to be released on multiple dvd's to accommodate the size, while the PS3 version come out on 1 Blue-ray disc., etc

it comes down to what you play. if you want to play online go for 360 coz xbox live has the playstation network beat.

if you have hd tv n watch movies as often as you play ps3 will be what you want

you cant compare wii with either console's its too different. you should have a wii next to your ps3 or 360.

overall ps3 is a good console and WILL be worth the money when it starts gettin closer to full potential. but at the moment i think the 360 is a better buy

The PS3 is brilliant. My O/H has got one and loves it - not only for the games but also coz it plays Blue Ray discs xx

im getting one to if u just want it for the games then get the 40gb but if u want the ps3 for music photos and games then get the 60gb ps3

It's very good, but the rumours are true - there aren't many games out for it at the moment. But fear not as there are some brilliant titles set for November. Go for it!

my bf just bought it and he prefers it to the wii. i have to say the visual effects are amazing..he got the x rocker chair to go with it. i think its better then the xbox for sure.
