Please take him to the vet IMMEDIATELY! Our 11 year old Maine Coon male cat had a heart issue and was throwing a blood clot down his back legs and a whitish and clear foamy discharge coming from his mouth was one of the first symptoms. Then, later, his mouth remained open, panting, and then suddenly his hind legs went out from under him. We got him to the ER vet within 20 mins of the first symptom and the clot passed. The foamy mouth stopped afterhe was no longer in a serious condition.
He was placed on blood thinners and a heart med for the rest of his life. Your vet will be able to tell if it is a soap or a life threatening condition...I hope it is just a non-toxic soap he got into, but it is worth checking out, for sure! Just thought I'd share my sad experience with my cat having a foamy mouth and what it meant in our case. Good luck today!

Your kitty is sick: Foaming at the mouth is not normal. Get him to the vet Stat.

Good luck!

did he get into any soap or detergent? i work at a vet clinic and they have a few cats there that occasionally drink the soapy water used to clean dishes and they foam at the mouth.

i wouldn't worry about it unless it continued. unless you thought he got into antifreeze or something like that, then worry about it big time!!!

Take it to the vet. Do you have any house plants that could be toxic to a cat?

They probaly got some sort of allergic reaction to the flea spray thats really the only sort of theory that makes actual sense.
