If you start with the premise that God exists, then all of these excuses will seem like explanations.

Hey , maybe I'm missing something . You bash those who want to know why god doesn't show himself . You say the excuses aren't well-thought out . Then you fail to give a sensible explanation .
Okay , give us a good well-thought answer as to why prayers aren't answered . Why do so many strong believers have to suffer , no matter if they pray 24/7 ? If people who pray almost constantly end up at the bottom , what is the purpose of prayer ? Come on , a well-thought out answer .

It possibly would not be a suitable answer in a one on one talk, however the undertaking is this may be a query and answer talk board. The questioner supplies a limited volume of information, and answerers have a limited time to furnish the superb answer they might. it is likewise sparkling that none individuals are God, and don't understand what God is familiar with. that isn't the placement to return while you're searching for convenience and coaching normally, and while you're seeking to attack God/theists/Christians by capability of saying 'seem, I prayed this, and it did not get taken care of', you're possibly unlikely to hearken to something we are saying besides. possibly.

People give these answers because they don't completely understand God and his ways or the bible. God will not reveal himself at this time because he wants people to believe in him by faith for there is a greater reward to people who believe in him without seeing. That's in the bible. I believe that when Jesus comes back everything will be revealed and all truth will be known and people will be given a 2nd chance to accept him but their reward will not be as great as those that have chosen to believe in him without seeing. Also the God of the bible does not serve us he does things according to his will not ours. Another thing that atheists can't wrap their heads around is the fact that this life is not that important to God, death in this life is not the worst thing that will happen to us, it's the second death that is of true concern to God. This is a temporary life that God uses to teach us about good and evil and prepare us for the next step. Some will learn everything in this life and be rewarded on judgement day. The rest will be judged and punished according to what they have done during this life, ultimately I believe people will be given a 2nd chance but they will not receive as great of reward. There also will be those that still refuse to accept Jesus as their saviour and those people will be cast into the lake of fire which is the 2ND DEATH (not eternal hell, this is clearly stated in the bible) and they will be as though they never existed.

Ah but, in Micah, He tells us that if we give generously He will send us more blessings than we can hold. He even invites us to test Him on it. He also promises the abundant life to believers. This does not mean wealth, necessarily, but rather a rich spiritual life. This is what faith is, to find and believe the promises. If you don't have faith, you cannot understand and you will miss the blessings. Believe me, God has answered more prayers of mine than I could ever have believed, even some wishes that were never really prayers. He does reveal Himself, but you have to be alert for the signs.

Ask one question per thread.
Let's answer one:
God doesn't work in mysterious ways. The reason why people called it is that they don't really know the mind of God. It is like a 3 years old boy who watch the making of a 220 storey bldg and find, accdg to this child, that the main architect is doing mysterious job.

Where were you when the foundations of the earth was laid?Who shuts the seas up with doors when waves are raging? Can you send lightnings or tell the sun when to rise and set? Have you provided the raven his food? Does the eagle mount up his wings at your command? My answer, it is not very smart to speak about God when your knowledge of Him is so very dim and shallow. Please, don't get into a debate with God because you will surely lose! You are not invincible and He can take you out any moment, so it is best to keep your mouth shut and appear to be a fool than to open it and remove all doubt. The Lord loves you. If you want to spit on His love, that's your perogative..........but not a very wise one.

The only reason that the male side of the Godhead does not make it a regular practice of "showing" himself is because pure energy is most difficult to "form" for a length of time necessary in this realm for anyone to "see" to begin with--a moot effort so to speak. If it makes any difference, He doesn't "show" much at Home, either, for the same reason, though more possible, since the time element is not a factor there, and "feeling" is knowing more than "seeing". "Thunderous" is the simplest adjective I can think of to describe His "appearances"...they literally rock our world...imagine what that would do here???
A little compassion, too, for those who try to describe that which they do not understand...they do their best given their vocabulary extent, their intelligence, & their experiences to-date.
Anyway, hope I rang those soul chimes a bit...Good Journey!!!

Mysterious ways? Yup, in the same way that rocket science would be viewed by cavemen. That which we cannot explain are "mysteries"...like Don King's hair.
Who says G-d doesn't like to be tested? (Humans test his patience every day...)
All prayers are answered...its just that sometimes the answer is "no".
Personally, I feel the G-d shows himself every day...just look around you and see the wonder of it all. (If that doesn't work, peyote will do the trick)

As a free thinking theist, my preferred answer, instead of the drivel that most would offer is a simple "I don't know"... and then I read and study and meditate until a point where either I can find the answer, or I realize that whatever I'm looking for is not to be found or in error... I know 2 things with certainty... (1) there is a higher power/ force that could be called God and (2) it's not me. (I know that's a quote from somewhere...but I don't know who said it) I'm not so arrogant to think I could speak for him or even know what His/Her plans are....

Malachi 3:10 "... prove me now herewith..." The prophet basically says, "Test God... see if He'll do what He says He will."
He's happy for us to "test" His promises- shows our faith... we show confidence that He will follow through.
James 1:5, 6... another test-- see if He'll answer and give knowledge and wisdom...
Every time I'm on my knees praying, it could be seen as a testing of God- Is He really there? Will He listen to my problems? Will He answer and help me?
Maybe it's only seen as a test when your faith is struggling. To me, these things aren't tests. I've already run these tests in my own life, and He's always passed with flying colors!... My faith in what He's said in these promises is (maybe) a little past mere faith... knowledge? confidence?....
