then do so. plasma tvs arent as good as lcd. brighter and better picture also better technology. now then people alot of you are saying that plasma tvs need refilling???? this is absolute rubbish as the gas can only burn out and cannot be replaced so getting your tv refilled is an absolute myth! the thing with plasma tvs is that the screen gathers dust inside and that is the only thing that can be sorted out and cleaned for round about 500 quid. if this happens you might as well buy a new tv

Plasma are brighter and usually bigger for the same money as an LCD and recently they have started to have a better life span. However they are fragile.
LCD's are cheaper smaller last longer but prone to shadow and pixel problems
Personally I have both a big 46" Plasma for a main TV and a smaller 32" LCD for watching in another room. They cost a similar amount of money and its hard to say which is really the better of the two as they both have good and bad points

You really need to read the following. It is an unbiased report on the pros and cons of all available TV formats. It also dispels the myth about burn in on plasmas.

Go for LCD. Plasma dies out after a few years (can't remember the figure from the top of my head) and it costs way too much to refill.

If you have children do not even consider buying an LCD. The screens are very fragile PLASTIC.
When broken no warranty,no repair. Junk.
Plasma TVs have glass screens.
