Any one who does a good act. Saint today is seeing as someone outside of your self, who is accepted by a large number of people as a do good person.
My answer is extremely a personal opinion. For me anyone who is able to push the other in the a direction of truth can be a saint provided the perciever has an open mind. There have been instances in my life, where people have been so nasty. These same nasty people pushed me into thinking and reasoning and gave me this profound insight on what behavior is good and what behavior is bad. As far as i see, saints my say good things, write books or make history, but if you see, in our daily life we have so many messages that are constantly conveyed eventually to awaken our spirits. Dont all good and bad people play the role of saints? a humble person makes our soul happy, a cruel person hurts us, but dont the cruel person teach us how not to be cruel??? Isnt there a message? Why is he not a saint? As far as my life is concerned i see everyone as a messenger of God, because everything happens with a purpose for our souls growth. God cannot be partial to one person and tell the whole of humanity to follow this person only then you will enter my paradise. I do not say great people are not great, i honor them and respect them, but i see everyone's message as a message from the god for the growth of our souls. A true saint is one who opens his soul to the world for its full growth. This is a true saint, we are all capable of being saints is my point.

In my opinion, A saint necessarily doesn't have to be a person who is entitled by the church. Like for example mother teresa, is still not entitled as a saint, but in our hearts she is a saint.

I could be a saint and u could be one. I believe that anyone who has the will power and the open heart to proclaim the word of God, can be a saint.

Funny question.

The true Saints would definitely be those that have died with this anointing in an approved state. These who are resurrected during Christ presence upon their death have become glorified and are indeed true Saints.

On earth some Saints remain. These have been declared righteous by God through Jesus blood. Jesus and God have elected these to be anointed as Saints, holy ones.

HOWEVER, these have to prove until death their faithfulness-- if they become disapproved their promised crown goes to the next person in line. Thus they are Saints but may become disapproved if they do not watch out.

They are true Saints also until they commit the unforgivable sin -- then they get the judgment of Gehenna.

Rev (ASV)
Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

11I come quickly: hold fast that which thou hast, that no one take thy crown.

The question is related with religions & spirituality. A true Saint is one who considers the one God of all religions.A person who is not effective by profit & loss, sorry and happy, life & death etc. Such persons can be available on our universe but it is very difficult to search them. For example, Saint Kabir Das took birth in India and he was not even educated. He charitised Hindu & Muslim religions on some points but both the Communities Hindu & Muslim had never hated him. Both the communities had the regards for Saint Kabir Das teachings. Such persons can be named as Saint. Moreover, recently, dead body of Param Hans Yoganand ji had kept still safe In California,US due to his teachings and most of the different communities still are getting benefit from His teachings. Such persons can be named as " Saint". Thanks for the interested question asked by questioner.

All it takes to become a Saint is, be washed in the blood of Christ Jesus. You must be born again. Nothing more--nothing less. So say the Word of God. It's that simple.

That question cannot be answered by man unless you want mans interpretation. Only God truly knows who is his. If you want to be a saint then don't look out but rather look within yourself.

Someone who has been given the gift of the Holy Spirit by God when He called them into the family of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:9 You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.

Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, To the saints who are in Ephesus, and are faithful in Christ Jesus:........13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.

Saints are people in heaven or on their way to heaven. All Christians dead and alive are saints.

The Catholic Church selects some of the most extraordinary examples, does in-depth research, and canonizes them.

"By canonizing some of the faithful, i.e., by solemnly proclaiming that they practiced heroic virtue and lived in fidelity to God's grace, the Church recognizes the power of the Spirit of holiness within her and sustains the hope of believers by proposing the saints to them as models and intercessors."

For more information, see the Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 828: http://www.nccbuscc.org/catechism/text/pt1sect2chpt3art9p3.htm#828

With love in Christ.
