Yes, prayer is helpful. It makes me feel better to pray. I talk to God all the time and I do get answers. Maybe not the answers I want all the time, He does say no or wait but most of the time I get my prayers answered within a day or week of praying for something.

Prayer is the most important part of my day. I discovered how important recently during a bout of pneumonia where I mostly took my medication and slept for 2 weeks. By the time I started to feel better physically, I was spiritually in a bad way. It took several days for me to get rid of the black cloud that was surrounding me and dragging me down. I was under spiritual attack by dark forces and had to do some concentrated prayer as well as have friends praying for and with me to get through it. I learned that no matter how busy or sick I am, prayer is necessary to maintain a healthy relationship with God and prevent attack by the evil forces in this world.

There is mighty power in prayer to change what is seen, and bring into manifestation..that which is not seen. But only Prayer in the Name of Jesus can do this.

Yes,

I have prayed when a tornado was headed our way and it just disappeared and canceled from the warning.

I have prayed for protection, many times when our family was in danger and we were protected, we asked that it be removed from us and we watched it happen.

I have prayed for deliverance from depression and filled with peace, and I have been.

One day when we were moving to a different state, while my husband and our friends were packing up the truck, a neighbor child picked up a brick and slammed it down on my son's wrist. His wrist was smashed, swollen and turning dark purple as we prayed over it 4 of us witnessed immediate healing.

I believe prayer changes things for the better, and gives the clarity that we sometimes seek. I also believe that it ensues hope. When things are not going well, anytime you still have hope, this is good.

yes, prayer is the best thing for you. it keeps you close to god, and it works so many miracles. i can feel god's presence when i'm talking to him and he reveals so much to me, and he has worked so many miracles in my life from simply praying to him, times when i thought there was no way out, i thought that i would die before i got out of the situation i was in, and he came through in a way that would require divine intervention, thats the only way to describe it, the only way i came out alive.

I am a total atheist, but sometimes you can take the sting out of a dire situation, pretending somebody listens to you and helps you. I think it's human to do that, but not to make it to life consuming, obnoxious obsession.
