Your doctor is the best bet for telling you what the ideal weight for you should be, its different for everyone & the BMI charts are a tad misleading.
Also, losing 22 lbs. in 6 weeks is near impossible, your goal should be to lose 1-2 lbs. per week because that is a healthy achievable goal.
Use the calorie calculator below to determine how many calories you can eat in a day to maintain/lose weight. Read the article below the calculator, its really informative. Keep a log of what you eat so that you can count your calories every day, and don't eat anything you don't know the caloric amount for!
Some small changes you can make now, but will make a big difference in your calorie count:
No more drinks with calories, stick to diet drinks or water. (Caffeine & carbonation aren't good for you either, but if you can't quit everything cold turkey!)
Look for fat-free versions of milk, salad dressings, mayonnaise, honey mustard, etc.
Snack on 94% fat free popcorn, instead of movie butter popcorn.
Have peanut butter because its filling, but no more than 2 tbls. because its so fattening!
Eat lean meats like turkey & chicken instead of beef or pork.
Avoid the word sauteed or fried, and look for broiled, baked, or grilled.
Don't eat creamy or oil-based soups/sauces & have red based soups/sauces instead.
Eat slowly, so that you can more easily identify when you are full.
And drink water like there is no tomorrow, most people mistake hunger for dehydration!

Healthy weight loss is 1/2 to 2 pounds per week. So if you want to lose 22 pounds it should take you between 11 and 44 weeks to do so safely.
There is no such thing as 5'12" so you are either 5'11 or 6 foot tall. According to the Healthy Weight Range chart that all medical doctors use, the most you should weigh being under age 25 is 165-169 pounds.

you can loose fat and gain muscle so dont obsess over the scale #'s. eat frequent high protein low glycemic meals and work out 5X a week but vary the routine. The most important part is weight training, to develop mass and definition and strength. It feels so good to be in shape. You are also still growing so don't diet too strictly! Think like this when eating "does this serve my fitness goals?" if it doesnt dont do it!!!

If you want to reduce your weight, you need to do a lot of exercise to accelerate your metabolism. It's better if you do cardiovascular exercise, because this kind of exercise helps you burn fat...
You should begin with a good eating plan, combining fats and sweets with fruits and vegetables. It will be better if you drink at least eight glasses of water daily to control your calories and your cholesterol.
If you want you can use some pills to control your weight and to accelerate the process of burning fat.
I know some pills which you can use to reduce your weight. Those pills are Xenical and Hoodia. Their results are excellent and fast.

You pretty much lose approx. 1-2 lbs a week of fat. Losing more will be muscle. I would train a little differently to protect yourself from muscle cannibalization. Learn to train functionally and properly for your goals. Guys are better off doing more strength training than aerobics. Check my source for eating and training.

FIRST, I DENTIFY WHY YOU GAINED THE WEIGHT (BEING INNACTIVE, OR POOR DIET ETC).
SECOND, BEFORE ANY WORKOUT ROUTINE, GET HEALTHY EATING HABITS ESTABLISHED OR THE WORKOUTS WILL BE A WASTE OF TIME.
NEXT, TRY ELLIMINATING CARBOHYDRATES FROM YOUR DIET AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER. IF YOU CAN TURN YOUR BODY INTO A PROTEIN-BURNING TYPE, YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT LIKE A FLASH. THE REASONS TO GO THIS WAY ARE: YOU CUT OUT A WEIGHT-GAINING FUEL SOURCE (CARBS). YOU FORCE YOUR BODY TO RELY MOSTLY ON PROTEIN FOR FUEL (TERRIBLE FOR FUEL, GREAT FOR YOUR BODY ETC). WHEN YOU RESTRICT CARBS YOU FORCE YOUR BODY TO USE PROTEIN FOR FUEL. PROTEIN IS NOT A VERY EFFICIENT FUEL SOURCE. SO WHAT DOES YOUR BODY DO? IT TURNS TO STORED FAT TO RUN ITS DAILY FUNCTIONS.
FINALLY, CHOOSE WHATEVER METHOD OF EXERCISE YOU LIKE. I SAY LIKE BECUASE IF YOU ENJOY DOING IT, YOU'LL BE MORE APT TO CONTINUE WITH IT...AND CONSITENCY IS THE KEY TO WEIGHT LOSS.
