You can accumulate vast wealth , but you have to have a head on your shoulders . You can't let it control you , I want this , I want that , he has that and I want it too .Solomon was rich beyond his means and it got him to turn from the Lord and he did a lot of things contrary to the word of God.At the end of 15 -20 years Solomon realized that it was all vanity , it got him nowhere and he regretted what he did against his belief. It's Gods money to begin with and if you have sufficient wealth do something with it for the Lord , support missions , tithe .

What is it that makes people believe that in order to follow Christ you must be impoverished? I believe that if he has asked someone to forsake his wealth then that is a different thing, but I don't believe that just because someone is Christian, it means they can have nice things.

When you say 'accumulate' do you mean like over spending? Just buying a bunch of stuff for the heck of it? Well......I think that the money can be put to better use but I don't think it will keep someone out of heavan unless they make their wealth more important than God.

Jesus said that it would be very difficult for a rich person to enter God's kingdom.

However, being wealthy is not a sin. It may be a hindrance since where your treasure is there your heart is too.

And, you cannot serve God and mammon --

But but but-- sometimes the poor person is actually having to watch more out for greed than the rich.

If a person has the chance, the ability, the setup to earn thousands of dollars per hour which a few may, is that a sin if it is done legally and morally according to the Biblical guidelines? Money is not the problem -- the love of money is.

The Bible teaches us to be content with sustenance and covering. There is nothing wrong with having money or even a lot of it. The problem is when a person is so consumed with acquiring riches, that everything else comes second. So if a person is putting God first, and has a great job that pays millions then there is no wrong in that. And giving 10% or tithing is not necessary. That was a law of the old testament to ancient Israel. That was abolished with Christ's death. Christians today are to give from the heart and what they are able to give.

No, Muslims are actually not stored. yet whilst they have self assurance in Jesus Christ, they could be analyzing the Bible and following the trail of Jesus to be stored. Muhammad grew to become right into a pretend prophet. Jesus warned 'watch out of fake prophets'. anyone on the earth are Gods human beings. those that are stored carry on with the trail of Jesus Christ to the daddy, God. Muhammad have been given the tale somewhat blended up.

Are you thinking of the parable where our Lord is asked by a rich man how to gain heaven and our Lord told him to give away everything and follow him and when the rich man went away the Lord said it is easier for a camel to pass through a needle's eye than a rich man achieve Heaven?

Hmm, let's say you will stand a far better chance if you accumulate it honestly and with compassion, not greed and use it generously to benefit others.

They can if they do so according to the teachings of the Word. It's not God's will for us to live in poverty, for the Scripture says that if we ....cast our bread upon the water..." it will come back to us with "...good measure (plentiful), pressed down, shaken together and running over". It also says to the effect that He would "...open up the windows of Heaven and pour out a blessing such as ye would not be able to receive it (being so plentiful/good we couldn't take it all in right away" Sure, some of us accept "vows of poverty", but it isn't necessary.

Money isn't a "sin" or evil. BUT the LOVE of money is the root of it. Why? What does that even mean "The ROOT of all evil". Two things God looks at as a barometer as to what we TRULY worship, they are money and time. Both are things that can be equated by how much of it we spend on something.

God said love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind.

To become rich doesn't mean that you are "hording" (though it can easily be). But if you have been wise with what God has given you, and He decides to bless you with the horrible responsibility of wealth, then it is your responsibility to honor God with that money. If used for the worlds idols (power, fame, leisure) you shall reap what you sew. But if you use it as if God is your true God, you will honor Him with it buy using it to spread the gospel, feed the poor, start missions, etc...

You can never "out give" God.

What is funny is how everyone says share it with the poor. Well if you do that you wont be rich for long. Rich people don't get rich by blowing their money or just giving it away. Not to mention your personal wealth is insignificant compared to the perceived need. You can give it away and it would just be like pissing it in the wind. Keep your money and enjoy it. People will always be happy to spend it for you; even the church.

If you want to help people do it with your time. Where you spend your time is where your heart is. Not where you spend your money.

The root of evil is not money it is women; sorry the bible is wrong.
Women motivate men to do what they do. Guys want cool cars, houses, and stuff. Not to impress other guys but to impress women.

A teenage boy doesn't spend hours polishing his piece of crap car to impress other guys, he does it to impress girls.

Guys start caring about how they smell, how often they shower, wearing deodorant, doing their hair, etc as soon as they start liking girls. Before that time they could care less.

If it where not for women guys would never shower and sit around scratching themselves. So the root of evil is women and guys need money to get women. Guys spend many hours thinking about women and lust after women; not money. Guys have pictures of women, movies of women, and women are used to sell products. There are places where you can give money to see naked women, dancing women, and even have sex with women. I don't see this type of dedication toward the dollar.

To illustrait my point as to which guys a women goes for: how many dead sexy ladies do you know that live in a trailer park or are poor?

Yes, Christians can be very wealthy.
However, God asks for a tithe (10%) of our earnings, and He asks that as our wealth grows we remember to care for the poor and the orphaned.
