why do St. Vincent Ferrer has wings? What's the story all about?

Believed to be a Sainted Angel, the wings depict that heavenly position. He did indeed travel greatly during his ministry having traveled to Aragon, Castile, Switzerland, France, Italy, England, Ireland and Scotland.
