I had a vivid daydream about a young girl 13-15 named sarah in my house. She was in my basement along with a young boy. There was also an older man whom I felt abducted her and the boy and murdered them. After words I was like wow im crazy and went to bed. A few days later I was watching a show about ghosts with my sister who is 13 and has heard voices since she was little. My family has a long history so im told of being in tune with paranormal activity and these voices where long ago attributed to this after her seeing a doctor to make sure it wasn't a tumor of course :P. Anyways when I told her about the girl and what she looked like she looked at me and said are you serious I saw the same girl when I told her the name sarah she completly freaked out as she had the same name for the girl. My mother and her friends have also before all this without me or my sis nowing senced many children in the house. I beleive sarah is buried somewhere in or nearby house should I just leave this be

You could always contact your local ghost hunters and see if they can document your suspicions. And you could try contacting TAPS, although I'm not sure they would do anything because I think they try to take on more 'commercial' type of hauntings. You can go to the library and search public records for the folks who lived in your house and see if there was anyone living there named Sarah.
Hopefully, you can continue to develop your abilities. Although, I can't recommend any books or resources to use for something like that since very little is known about them and people tend to scoff. But you might read up on meditation.
