I work with the public on a daily basis and I've seen people wear a big cross on a chain around their neck, then they get pissed off and take the Lord's name in vein. Like "JESUS CHRIST!" in anger. I've also heard and read it every day on Yahoo answers OMG (Oh my God!). Isn't that taking the Lord's name in vein? If they want to display the Cross and are good Christians, I would think that they would want to abide by the 10 Commandments and one of them is "Thou shalt NOT take the Lord's name in vein". Would you be offended by that because they shouldn't be angry with God? Would you say they are hipocrits or would you say they are phony Christians, or would you just accept it and not say anything? I told one guy that it offended me and I'd prefer to hear the 4 letter F word than to take the Lord's name in vein and his reply was "Jesus F_ _ _ _ _ G Christ!". How would you respond to that if you were an avid Christian and it offended you? (I'm a blackjack dealer in a Casino)

It's wrong and God will judge those who disrespect his name. The Ten Commandments are recorded in Exodus 20.

John 14:15 Jesus said "If you love me keep my Commandments".

Firstly, the command not to take "my name in vain" was not about the name Jesus, but the name "Jehovah". (Exodus 20:1-3, 7)

But that is not to say we should not respect Jesus as well, anyone who disrespects Jesus has disrespected Jehovah as well. (Psalms 2:1-12)

One does not expect to find true Christians in a gambling centre, so one should not expect those who go to such places to show Christian qualities. (1 Cor. 6: 9, 10)

It's just a saying. Most people swear using God's name .Even Atheists, who don't believe in God, say it also.
I am sure God does not take offence. There are far worse sins that offend him.

Everyone stumbles into sin, but what really matters is how they react to it and how they repent. God will really know what is in their heart. Ultimately, He will decide their fate, not us.

Your last line says it all. Sorry bud, but no Christian has a place in your line. No offence to you.
