Can a State Trooper in Michigan hide in the dark with no parking lights or any lights at all on and then pull you over for speeding?

OK, for those so eager to "scold me", the rest of the story is that I was coming from a 55 mph to a 45 mph. The officer was sitting just yards past the 45 mph sign. I had already started dropping speed before I got to that sign. I absolutely was clocked in the 55 mph zone as he hid in the shadows just past the sign of the 45 mph zone....and ticketed for the 45 mph zone.

Yes, the only thing police are not able to do is sit on private property while running radar, unless they first clear it with the owner. There is no reason a police officer should make it any easier on you to tell where they are hiding, if you were speeding excessively you deserve the ticket, period. This coming from someone who has two speeding tickets. You cannot hold it against the police officer either, they are just doing their job.

Let me think.... You're speeding, you get caught.... and you want to blame the Police Officer??

Yes. They CAN be in the dark.

What a clown. Take responsibility for your own actions.
