This is subjected to the belief that christianity is the only true message of God, otherwise its exactly reverse by using same logic. If christianity is not true message of God and definitely its not (its tempered by pauline doctorine) than christians are destined for eternal hell.

Jesus made the truth extraordinarily clear in John 3:18 "He that believeth on Him is not condemned but he that believeth not is condemned already......" Why? When a person believes on the Lord Jesus Christ they are given God's own righteousness which is the only standard the Lord will accept. See Romans 3:22. The Bible is clear when it states that the Lord condemned the whole human race because we have all inherited a sin nature from Adam. His condition was passed on to all mankind and it is this condition which eventually sends people to hell. The only way this condition can be addressed is by faith of Christ. Satan lies when he tells you that just being a good person and doing the right thing will ensure your entry into heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 totally blows away the idea that we can be saved by our works as our works fail to address the condition which sends people to hell in the first place.

The theory of not believing in the Christian god and going to hell for it is ridiculous!!

Hell is a christian thing to begin with. It came from the same imaginations of the men that wrote the bible.

The amount of faiths that do not believe in hell outnumber the ones that do, so the percentage isn't that good for the true existence of hell.

Even 'IF' the christian god was the one "true" god, why would he punish a person who had no idea of its existence?
That's not a very "christian" way to look at things now is it?

Hi there Im Daphne. Its not really true that non-christians go to hell... we are only human beings unknown and undecided of our religion. But what goes to hell are only those who have sinned greatly against God. All religions worship only one God... Hinduism and Buddhism only may worship the founder of their religions but in reality even their founders worshipped the only one true God which in YAHWEH. Our God may have a lot of names because of different languages but its still the same God we worship and praise. If you are a protestant then do what you must do that is right and avoid what is wrong because falling into sin is the greatest mistake in our lives that we go to H~e~l~l as you say... Take care and God Bless you always! your friend, Daphne

To be a Christian mean to be a follower of Christ and His teaching. That teaching is found in the Bible and it is quite clear that ONLY those who repent and put their faith in Jesus Christ will be saved. Everyone else (no matter what religion) will be condemned to hell because of their sin. Even those who become Christians (disciples of Christ) deserve to be condemned; they are not because Christ died for them and they have been forgiven.

For people to claim to be Christians and yet deny Christ's teaching on judgement is quite ridiculous. You must either accept His teaching in its entirety (including the unpalatable bits) or reject it; there is no half-way house of personal opinion with Jesus' teaching.

So, yes people will be condemned, we all have the choice follow Christ and repent if we wish to be saved. The truth is still the truth whether you choose to believe it or not.

If only Christians goes to heaven and the rest goes to hell, then heaven just like hell have good and bad people so heaven may literally mean just a place where dead Christians goes so it doesn't really sound attractive to me.

fundamentalist christians believe that people ignorant of Jesus Christ will not enter the kingdom of heaven..meaning I guess, a dip in the lake of fire, with the teeth gnashing and wailing and all that....So a kind man who grew up in central Africa in the 19th century would be in hell for eternity because he loved his family and prayed to gods that he believed controlled the growth of his crops. This what fundamentalist believe...Don't let them tell you otherwise

Heavens and hells are constructs by people who wanna keep the gullible in order - the peasants need the threat of hell to focus on so they won't crave 'freedom'.

It worked back then - the scam works well now too.

No, simply because I can't believe that the loving, forgiving God I worship would allow other people now and in the past to be condemned to hell because they have never been exposed to my religion.

Good people go to heaven/ nirvana. etc
I'm a Catholic and most Catholics in my community that I have spoken with believe this, but I'm not representative of Catholics or Christians FYI
