Im so rubbish at feeling guilty for everything. For example:me and my boyfriend are really happy and i know he and i have a future but whever we argue i always feel guilty, like im gonna push him away or he will love me less. I have this vision of being a perfect girlfriend. I told him this last night and he said it was really silly and that he would never change how he felt about me over and argument, but its not just with him its lots of things. And its usually to the people im closest to that i feel gulity the most.
I know this is not normal and i need some advice on snapping out of it so i dont punish my little brain anymore!!!

Guilt is the result of negative programming. Someone or something in your personal history programmed you to always feel guilty and bad about not being perfect.
No one is perfect- except Jesus Christ. You are a unique, wonderful person who is learning and growing and maturing through hard times and good times just like everyone else. Learn to love yourself first. Make a list of the things you really like about yourself. What can you do every day to put a smile on your face when you wake up? Find a quiet place to be by yourself for 10-15 minutes. Close your eyes and imagine you are about to watch a movie. This movie is about the person and/ or thing that first made you feel guilty about not living up to other peoples' expectations. who is in this movie? What are they saying and doing? Ask them why they made you feel so guilty. Then tell them you are changing the movie now. Tell them it's ok that they did what they did; they didn't know any better. You are in control of your own life now, you can do what you want with this old movie. Tell them how it's going to be from now on and how the movie ends. Do this exercise every single day until you can really see the imaginary movie playing in your mind the way you want it to. Write this quote on a big piece of paper and put it next to the bathroom mirror: Life is what happens when we are busy thinking about other stuff. This quote is to remind you every morning that it's time to live your life and stop thinking about stuff that just robs you of the joy you already have. You deserve this joy. Who or what is trying to tell you that you don't and why ? Remind yourself that it's their stuff, not yours.

You cannot change the way you were created, but you can change the way you think you are...
