Unless there is frost on the ground, I never wear socks, stockings or tights. I wear sandals the whole year round. the staff in my office cannot believe that I don't feel cold; but if my feet are hot, I am miserable!
I would prefer to have them cold, then get warmed up!

Neither. I won't wear socks but neither do I like having my feet rubbed. I'm used to being barefoot in winter; if I get cold I wiggle my toes, move around, put warmer clothes on from the ankle up, go indoors or at least find a place more sheltered from the wind... only in a true emergency would I pick one of the above.

I'd go barefoot and have my feet rubbed, I love getting a foot rub from anyone kind enough to offer. And to have my cold tootsies rubbed until they were warm would bring a smile to my face.
