I don't know what faith the Antichrist will come from (not that it matters), but I have heard that the False Prophet that helps him rein in the world's religions under a ONE WORLD government/religious banner might be Jewish based on a Scripture in Genesis that says, "And Dan will be a serpent in the path, a venomous viper that bites at the horses' heels so that his rider falls backward". The significance of the theory comes from the historical fact that Dan and Ephraim are considered to be the ones who led Israel into idol worship and caused the civil war that divided the 10 tribes in the north from them (Dan and Ephraim) in the south. Also, in Revelation, when the 144,000 evangelists are miraculously converted from Judaism, the descendants are listed as coming from EVERY ORIGINAL TRIBE of Israel EXCEPT Dan and Ephraim! It doesn't mean descendants of their tribe can't get into Heaven or anything; it only means that they cannot share the glory of the ministry of that day.

I have no idea. A few guesses though:
Very probably a humanist, I would speculate.
Also possibly an atheist. It is also a distinct possibility that the Antichrist will form his own religion, likely having people worship him. He may also claim to be Christian- probably as an attempt to defame God's name and decieve believers. He may even have elements from each of these, or be "pantheistic" and "tolerant"- which again would go back to humanism.

I would sincerely doubt the Antichrist would be Muslim. The Muslim religion, in my oppinion, doesn't seem to fit the profile for an antichrist of the end-times sort. I would also doubt they would be a Jew, and I'm not at all convinced they will be Roman Catholic, or that the Catholics will have anything to do with it all.

Edit- Pope does not mean antichrist. It means father.

Btw, bigvol66 - I heard the tribe of Dan is Ireland. I saw a genealogy chart of all the different tribes. I don't know about Ephraim.
Pope means father.

I don't think it will be from Muslims. I am unsure why people think it will be from a Jew either. I don't think his religion will be of any significance he will want all religions and types of people to get along. I think he will be someone easily liked. He will be peaceful. His lies will be believable and that is why everyone will be fooled.

He could be any of them but more likely I think he will be a Muslim convert to be a Christian. The way you will know him is when the preacher shows up, this is big religious leader. A few will be able to feel the third member of the unholy trinity.
