Bought my first jar of Vegemite yesterday.
Gotta say there is a definite difference in flavour..........
Like it though...
Thing is my little dog has a slice of toast and Marmite with me in the mornings. Had a slice before bed last night, and she refused it. She has turned away from it again this morning!!
The dog has decided its Marmite for her!!
What do you prefer (or your dog prefer) Marmite or Vegemite.

im a huge fan of marmite, tho im not allowed it when my husbands home, he hates it. wont even kiss me if ive eaten it, until i have brushed my teeth. lol. I thought marmite was suitable for vegetarians tho,im sure it says that on the jar. cos its just yeast extract.

Marmite! Am living in Australia at the moment and don't like Vegemite at all! Try Promite, it's disgusting! I think it's the version from New Zealand.
It's all an inferior product next to Marmite!

Marmite is the original stuff and those who are accustomed to its taste tend to prefer it to imitations. A friend of mine emigrated to Oz and the thing she missed most was Marmite as she could only get Vegemite there then. I had to send her a jar when I returned. She regarded it better than being sent chocs!

I eat Marmite for its B12 content, as I'm a vegetarian. My understanding is that Marmite has Vitamin B12 and Vegemite doesn't*, so I'm a happy little Marmite.
*(I'm not certain of this, so I hope I don't get sued!)
