My brother struggled with drugs for years, but he died dirty in the L.A. bus depot with the needle still in his arm 11 years ago. I have 1 cousin who is clean n sober 10 years, another 2 that cannot manage to stay clean or sane for long stretches of time no matter how hard they try.
I have a step sister who has 28 years clean and I have 24 years clean.

My 2nd wife (who I thought was a normie when we were dating) went on a run last year that cost us most of our savings,...she has gotten her head on straight right now and knows that regardless of how much I love her-she will be out of the house if she ever goes out again.

This is never easy, staying off of drugs when you are an addict feels like an unnatural state. But if you are dilligent enough, motivated enough, humble enough, and willing to do whatever it takes to kick the demons ***----then you have a chance!

if you do not have a support system, get one! you cannot successfully go through this alone! N.A. meetings are all around the world now! if you are sick and tired of being sick and tired then you have a small chance of success!

You can't control other people, whether it's a person's use of drugs or a personality difference. You have to separate love from their actions.
