Should be any difference against terrorism.. I believe NOT...

We have a burning pain. We are losing our sons to terrorism every day and we want the state do something against terrorism in a manner that demonstrates the might of our state and the determination of our nation not to surrender to any threat. It hurts us to see our key ally the United States question our moves against terrorism in a blatantly hypocritical manner while it continues a global war against terrorism and receives our earnest contributions to its success. We are hurt as well to see that somehow the global war against terrorism is only confined to a perceived threat by the U.S. and when it comes to our own security, we receive nothing but advised restraint, dialogue and so on.

What about other countries ?

Kimon: I dont know where are you from.. But if you were able to watch that news, you should be able to watch PKK terrorist activities in Turkey and loses of Turkey (more than 50 lost only in last weeks)...

I believe that all nations should react in same way under similar conditions, citizenship dictates to do so..

And as Turks, we never wants to have war, we are only FIGHTING AGAINST TERRORISM...

As Turks, we are in love with PEACE not only in our country but also all around world. Its adviced by the founder of our country great ATATURK.

Hi Mehmet,

I will ask a question to Kimon,

Dear Kimon,
I read it your answer. My question is;
Why do not you think contrary ?
What will you do, instead us ?
PKK is killing our soldier with treacherous ... And you are saying why are we demanding ?
I want to understand you, but you do not want to understand to us ...
And also, I think, you are not reading carefully or listening the news ...
Please do not read just only one side ...

I wonder your answer, I hope you will answer to us...

Thanks Mehmet this question,
Take Care

The difference is Turkey has been fighting Terrorism and betrayal for centuries and the US since 2001. The US invade two separate nations because 3500 people were murdered and do as they please. Yet the Turks after 40,000 Murders still sit waiting rattling their sabres doing nothing. The time has past to wipe the PKK off the face of the world. There are ways and means in which to do it, however the Turkish Military is afraid of offending the EU and don't want to risk their chances (no matter how minimal) of entry into the EU. The Turks should realise by now that the EU will NEVER let them join, so stuff the EU and it's time to apply the full force of the International Law of self defence, if the US and Israel can do it so can then Turks, go into Northern Iraq and wipe the PKK out once and for all.

I was watching in the news yesterday in Turkey people demonstrating demanding war......
Can you imagine that: people demanding their government to go to war!!

I felt very weird. I always thought that ordinary people were always favoring peace. But this?
I try to think when it was the last time that people went to the streets demanding from their government to go to war..... no not even in Nazi Germany happened..
My dear Turks this is many a step backwards.

as to the countries of the est, the terrorism means "separatives" and "reactionary movements" but the world of west describes that the "Islam movements" are terrorism.

turkey has always invaded and occupied neighbouring countries and does so with American arms and American dollars ,in turkey Kurds are not allowed to even talk their own language or have their own schools 6 million Armenians were butchered by the Turks and Cyprus a member of the EU is still occupied by the Turkish army. it was a crime for Saddam Hussein to kill the Kurds but its OK for turkey to do it.. kurds are fighting for their right to exist

Very simple: One is trying to protect it's integrity and borders, the other is trying to protect oil and it's financial interests.

As I said in a previous answer I would hope that if my country was being subjected to such attacks that our government would intervene directly. I agree that it seems to be one rule for the US and a different rule for everyone else - "do as I say, not as I do" appears to be the us motto.

Turkey should be free to defend itself without answering to any other country.
