My lips have been like this for about 3 years. I always lick them because they feel dry and I want them to be pink instead of my skin color, so I always lick them. I always peel off the skin with my fingers. My top lip is fine. But how do I make my lips flawless, smooth, soft, and kissable? And how do I make them pink or "stain" them?

I also heard something that honey is a good moisturizer and it will make your lips soft and pink. True of false?

Exfoliate your lips gently by making a paste of white sugar & honey. Rub the paste gently against your lips & rinse off well. Apply a lip treatment immediately.
If you want to stain your lips, crush a rasberry or strawberry & mix it w/ some honey & aloe vera gel. Rub it gently on your lips, leave it on for a few minutes & rinse well.
Here's a link for homemade tinted lip balm: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Lip-Gloss-Stain
You can also apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly & brush away flakes gently w/ a soft toothbrush.
My favorite lip moisturizers are Aquaphor Healing Ointment & Neosporin lip treatment.
BeneFit Cosmetics makes a lip stain called BeneTint & Revlon makes one called Just Bitten that comes in 4 colors.
Waxy lip balms can seal out moisture as well as sealing it in. So in a way, waxy lip balms can keep your lips dry.
I also avoid products w/ salicylic acid, mint, camphor, methol, etc. because they tend to irritate my lips.

Your lips need exfoliation instead of you peeling the cracked skin off. You're just going to hurt yourself and possibly end up bleeding if you keep doing that. I suggest the Satin Lips care set from Mary Kay.
There's a lip mask that buffs away dry skin and then a lip balm that has no flavor and no scent, so you're less inclined to lick it off as many people do. It also doesn't have a greasy feeling and gives the lips a little shine, so you won't need to lick your lips for that pink look.
Kissable lips are so in reach with this great set. I just bought one for my mom's Christmas present.
The link below goes straight to the gift set. You can buy the two items separately, but you save some money on buying the set and if you e-mail the consultant who owns that site, she gives great discounts.

Licking your lips when they are dry seems like a good idea but it actually just dries it out more.. so try to make a concious effort to avoid doing that."
Also, use a good chapstick. (obvious but very helpful)
As far as the flakiness goes..you can just take your toothbrush and brush your lips and the flakes should come off. It sounds weird but I do it all the time and it works wonders. Don't peel at your lips either that won't help.

Smith's Rosebud Salve! I love this stuff! It heals dry lips and gives them a little sheen and a slight tint. It smells like roses too! I won't go anywhere without it. It's also good for giving your cheeks a little glow. I use it to style my eyebrows as well. You can find it in any drugstore.
