This is what gandhi said about PROPHET MUAHAMMAD(P.B.U.H).
Gandhi says in Young India:

It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the
scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to this friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the 2nd volume (of the Prophet's
biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of the great life." This was because our beloved PROPHET MUHAMMAD left us at an age of 63.
A teacher is never judged on the basis of students worth punishing in a class.

wow! i love the hypocricy shown by people answering this question. Had it not been about PROPHET(P.B.U.H), I would have some really different opinions about gandhi but suddenly, munna bhai seems to have taken a back seat. sigh! convinient and quite as i expected. carry on, i am enjoying this two face act.

Muhammad pbuh is the best commander in chief,chief of state ,politician,chief of state and also chief of the new religion Islam.Muhammad pbuh is selected by western writer as the number one of the most influential leader among 100 leaders in this world..Muhammad pbuh spread out Islam without force.He spread out it with love.He used his sword only when he and his followers were attacked by enemies.Islam is defensive and no offensive.Muslims reattacked if they were attacked..Islam and its followers hate war.Muslims treated well their captiive enemies.(prisoners of war).Islam has no caste in society because Islam is based on egality..Islam gives more honour to women.In front of God all humans were treated similarly.The difference lies only in their good doings and their faith and devotion to God Almig hty..Muslims practise a good neighbour policy.Muslims help and love each other,because we are brothers and sisters as descendant of Adam and Eve.
If there are some bad muslims who killed other,they were tempted by satans.They did not comply to the life guide given by God (Qur'an and hadith).But the misled muslims are quite a few.There are other bad followers of other religion too.It is not monopolized by muslims only..

The life and philosophy of Gandhi was greatly influenced by Islam and the life of Prophet Muhammad. Although he did not convert to Islam, his teachings are the reflections of what Islam can do to better the humanity of people. Gandhi is a shining example not only to the non-Muslims but also to the Muslims of Islam being a humane and rational way of life.

I wonder if Gandhi praised so much for Prophet Mohammad, why did he not accept Islam and converted as Muslims. I think Gandhi was very cunning leader and said these words
(if these are Gandhi''s words) to win the hearts of Muslims so they do not agigate for separate country and stay in one united India until British gives independence to India and leave. He knew once Muslims join with Indians and don't ask for separate country (Pakistan), Hindu will later rule over Muslims which ever way they will want and will take regvenge against Muslims for the 700 years of minority rule of Muslims over India.
To make Muslims fools Gandhi praised Prophet Mohammad so much and also offered Mohammad Ali Jinah to become first Governer General of India. He knew Jinnah was a sick man from tuberclosis and he will die soon. After the death of Jinah Hindus would have never given the position of Indian's Prime Minister to any Muslim again. Jawahar Lal Nehru was too ambitious and wanted to be the first Prime Minister of India. He made Gandhi accept to give the positon of Gover General for Lord Mount Baton the last Vice Roy of Britain, so he doesn't let Majority Muslims of Kashmir join Pakistan as agreed before in the formula of partition of India and Pakistan. Lord Mount Baton employed Indian army in Kashmir and occupied Kashmir in favor of India before transfering Muslim army to Pakistan. Until today in last 60 years India has never elected a Muslim for the position of Prime Minister of India. They do give the position of President to a Muslim because it is mainly a ceremonial positon. President in India doesn't have much power for the governance of India. .

Mahatma Gandhi was a great man who realised the truth like other great people. Read what Bernard Shaw spoke:
"He must be called the Savior ofHumanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the dictatorship ofthe modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems in a way that wouldbring it much needed peace and happiness".(The Genuine Islam,Singapore, Vol.1, No.8, 1936)
Dull people cannot appreciate niceness, so don't worry about them.

You keep posting similar subjects everyday. I doubt you are expecting an answer that will satisfy you. If Islam is so great you don't have kill people to make them a believer.
A man(or whoever) so egoistical can not be saved and probably not worth my effort.

Nice to see that you have adopted the channel of Islam to reach Allah or GOD .....but Allah or GOD is 'invisible' and human beings of all religions and atheists are 'visible' as his creation....So love his creation first ,then only you can reach him....Rather than wasting energy by arguing on who is right and who is wrong ?? Let Allah or GOD decide on what has to be done.......

I would simply say the indians who hate muslims are just illiterate about Islam & Muslims.
If they really knew what Islam is, they would have reverted to Islam by now.

Gandhi was a great man, but he was also a politician, trying to prevent the division of India into a Hindu and a Muslim state.
no wonder he chose to ignore the ruthlessness and treachery of Muhammad, in the way he conquered the Arab peninsula, murdering millions without any compunction, with a special regard to those he made alliance with, and then turned and butchered them.

I do not think islam is true to its roots but as it sounds as if he was muslim of cause he prases mohammed. Jesus left us at 33 and he his live is also recorded in the bible.
