Sounds scary to me. Are you ok?
If it happens again, try to concentrate on your breath. Visualize inhaling pure white light and on the exhale push out the black defiled smoke representing negativity.
This enables you to gain control without resistance. Try to visualize the white light (positive energy) spreading through your body as you inhale, and force out the black smoke (negative energy) on the exhale.
See what happens!

Sleep paralysis is most often associated with narcolepsy, a neurological condition in which the person has uncontrollable naps. Sometimes it runs in families. There is no known explanation why some people experience this paralysis. It is not harmful, although most people report feeling very afraid because they do not know what is happening, and within minutes they gradually or abruptly are able to move again; the episode is often terminated by a sound or a touch on the body.
Some experience the feeling that someone or something is sitting on their chest and they feel impending death and suffocation. That has been called the “Hag Phenomena” and has been happening to people over the centuries. These things cause people much anxiety and terror, but there is no physical harm. BUT! if this is not what you are experiencing, you might had encountered an INCUBUS..
A number of mundane explanations have been offered for the origin of the incubus legends. They involve the Medieval preoccupation with sin, especially sexual sins of women. Victims may have been experiencing waking dreams or sleep paralysis. Also, nocturnal arousal, orgasm or nocturnal emission could be explained by the idea of creatures causing an otherwise guilt-producing and self-conscious behavior.

It's your body's way of keeping you safe while sleeping. Paralysis to keep you in bed and as you start to doze, you start to dream. That's what the voice was. I've had it happen myself. Felt like someone was holding me down on the bed and I heard a voice. I tried hard to open my eyes and move but was unable. After a few minutes, I woke up enough to see that I was alone and able to move again. Very strange sensation, though.

To make sure that it was not a physical ailment, check if you have properly covered your body if it is extremely cold out there. When this is ruled out, you had better consult a physician.
