Why are there people out there who are so ignorant towards the military and what we do. Yes...I am in the military and I'm proud of what I do. Why hate on the personnel who are giving you the freedom to do what you do in your everyday life. Yes, we in the military did raise our right hand to serve our country but it should not give you the to hate on us. I see a lot of questions that are posted mostly from girls asking advice on, "what should I do...my man is in the middle east, should I still be with him?" Some of the answers I've read are really dumb...why encourage someone to break up with their loved ones who are saving you the time...support them...Sometimes, I wish they would bring the draft back just to see some of you haters be crying to your parents!

Thank you for raising your right hand and serving our country. My husband and I respect what you and all your fellow soldiers are doing to save our country and basically, our lives. Don't let people on this site get to you...majority of the people DO support our troops! I know because I am from a family that all served their country at some point in their lives...my husband's father is a retired Colonel, and his older brother is still serving as a Colonel, as well. My husband served in the Army for 8 years, during Desert Storm. So, we have so much support for our troops! OORAH! WE LOVE YOU, AND ALL THE AMERICAN SOLDIERS AND THEIR FAMILIES FOREVER!!!!! God bless each and everyone of you.

Forst. thank you for serving our country by serving in our military forces.
Second, I agree with you, we need to support our troops, not be angry with them, etc.
Because of the many men and women who have for so many years served our country, fought in previous and current wars, we in America have the freedoms we have.
I do not appreciate how the Viet Nam vets were treated, as the active duty personnel came home to American soil, and were spit upon, etc. Such disrespect is horrible.
I believe that for the moral of the people in uniform, girls should not, nor should guys either, question if they should stay with them while they are away at war.
I think in part the "hate" military personnel may feel from civilians, is due to a few things:
1) The Viet Nam war left a bad taste in our mouths when we pulled out of that country.
2) We in America have enjoyed the privilege of our freedoms for so long since Viet Nam, except for Iraq, etc., that we have gotten to the point of not understanding the purpose of our military.
3) The way this war in Iraq has been going on for as long as it has, with American troops coming home dead, or injured, they don't want another long drawn out war like Viet Nam was.
4) The young people of today have enjoyed these freedoms, that they have no comprehension of what it took to get and keep these freedoms.
Again, thank you for serving our country in the military.
I hope this helps answer your question. Take care.

I support everyone in the military, including the families left behind. Anyone that has anything negative to say about the military should recognize and be thankful for their right to be able to say such things. If people feel negative towards the military who gives them this freedom, then get the hell out.

A citizen should always support the armed forces of his country with every means possible especially in time of war;
providing of course that these armed forces confine themselves to the role accorded to them by the constitution and its respective members maintain the high standards of conduct and behaviour demanded of them inside their country and strictly adhere to the provisions of international conventions and treaties when they operate outside their national borders,and,that any infraction should be tried and punished without any undue delay.

The soldiers must be given moral support because they are fighting and serving the country so that the people will have peace of mind and will not worry about terrorism and violence.

I respect you. Thank you so much for all those individuals who have the courage to enlist to protect us. God Bless you and all those in the armed services. If you don't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them.
