I've had progressive pain in first the right foot and ankle and now have pain in both feet and ankles. I did a web search and FOUND the answer to my pain. The pain was in my ankles and heels. I bought pain creams, magnet treatments, many many shoes, pain tablets, insoles... I searched out "arch" pain and causes and that's it!!! I bought those walk fit insoles and never used them till tonight...I wrapped them on my feet with ace bandages and socks and wore them and the pain is slowly leaving!!! What relief I don't have to crawl to the bathroom anymore. Anyone know of some good inexpensive arch support shoes???

Go to a podiatrist and get orthodics that fit your particular foot problem. I have worn orthodics for thirty years and they have ended my pain.

As someone else asked ,are you overweight. In general alot of people in this country are and that, contributes to aching feet and ankles, also I would check in with a gym if you don't already belong and have a trainer give you leg and inner thigh-muscle exercises, they don't change things over night but over a few months I found out personally you can dramatically strengthen your instep and reduce foot pain.
At any rate this is a most neglected muscle development area.

Good luck

Are you overwieight? That could be the problem. If not, go to a Chiro on a regular basis and take an aspirin every day and get a massage on a bi-weekly basis.
